Makayla is the absolute best. If she is not already management? she should be. Informative. Helpful. & Moves with urgency. Thank you for helping me with my glasses. I can't see without them
If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been a loyal customer at this location for years, never missing an appointment--until one time. I show up, I trust you, and what do I get? A $25 "no-show" charge because I missed one appointment. But let's rewind: I've shown up for every other appointment, stayed loyal. And then... well, the phone call I received? Condescending.
Here's the breakdown of how terrible this all felt:
* After years of reliability on my end, I'm suddenly treated like someone unreliable. No acknowledgement of my past loyalty.
* The fee? Out of nowhere. No reasonable discussion of my history, no compassion. I missed one appointment. That merits a lecture? A condescending tone? I don't think so.
* The representative's tone on the phone was dismissive ("Yes, you missed it, you owe the fee") instead of understanding or trying to help rectify the situation.
* It shattered my trust. I've been going here years, trusted them with my eye care--and now I'm being penalized and spoken down to rather than treated like a valued client.
* I'm seriously reconsidering coming back. Because when a business treats its loyal clients like this over a trivial slip-up, it says a lot about their values.
Always love coming here. Staff is super friendly and help you get what you want within your budget. Dr. Brestler is very friendly and quick with exam. I recommend everyone to come here
My experience there is always pleasant! Don't know what they could do to make it better except make my glasses free. haha The ladies and Doctor are always friendly and patient! They help me get any discounts out there, to help lower the price!
I have been treated with friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff at every visit to Pearl Vision. Always greeted with a smile and explanation at every step of the way.
The staff and Dr. at Pearle Vision are outstanding. The girls out front are always helpful when trying to pick out new frames. I was told at least 2 weeks for my glasses and was surprised to get a call a week later that my glasses were ready. Being able to come back to them anytime I need an adjustment or new nose pads is a plus. Highly recommend!!!
I highly recommend Pearle vision. The staff is very friendly, the doctor is great, and he is right there, not on a screen. There is a wide selection of frames to choose from. I
was very impressed with the whole experience.
UPDATE: The "rebuttal" below is Pearle Vision defensively doubling down on claiming I never made an appointment, that I "just talked about it with the employee". (That doesn't even make sense, nevermind that I had someone else with me who literally watched me make the appointment.)
It's also untrue that I was "yelling and cursing" at their staff. Whoever is giving that info to the business owner is lying. The fact that they're just doubling down on their dishonest version of events just reinforces the bad experience I had there. Definitely will never give them another chance.

I can describe my local Pearle Vision location in Watertown, NY like this: incompetent, no integrity, and no empathy.
I went to this location in person (with my husband, as we were in town) to make an appointment for an eye exam. I spent 10 minutes giving my new patient information (name, email, phone, insurance, etc.) to the employee and she scheduled me for a couple weeks out. I put it in my calendar right then and was looking forward to my eye exam to get new glasses.
Fast forward to my appointment today. I showed up with lots of time to spare (she'd told me to be 15 minutes early) and not only did they not have an appointment for me, they didn't even have me in the system!
I pointed out the employee who had booked me to the person who was at the front counter, and she said she remembered me and our conversation, but then tried to gaslight me saying we "never actually booked an appointment" and "were just talking about it", rather than having the integrity to own up to whatever mistake led to my appointment not being saved in the system.
I guess I hallucinated giving her all my info and made up the date in my head. Must have been a mass hallucination as my husband remembers it the same.
I'm addition to dad, her response was absolutely zero empathy, just a very flat, "oh, well, sorry, we can rebook you for July".
What kind of customer service is that after you've cost someone time and money (time off work, gas, etc.) due to your incompetence? The least that should happen in such a situation is taking responsibility by admitting your mistake, apologizing sincerely, and seeing what it is you can do to make that right, like (for example) checking with the doc to see if that customer could be squeezed in, or offering some kind of discount.
This employee did absolutely nothing. She tried to gaslight me into believing I was never scheduled, smirked at me, and offered to book me for sometime in July. As if there's any guarantee I would actually be scheduled this time and not just wasting my time again.
I tried to nicely send this to just corporate but the email submission form on the website doesn't work, at least not on mobile. Can't say I'm surprised.
