What a disgrace! I drove my daughter to her 4:10 eye exam. They did the tests, still waiting for her doctor to come in the room at 5:40. She's ready to walk out. Patience is a great virtue, but this is ridiculous! Maybe ny 6 or 7 she'll be out. Definitely would never recommend this place.

Called to get some more contacts. The person who took the call sounded like he was on the beach somewhere and kept mumbling about "make sure you're in the right place" after taking my information down, he just dumped me into voicemail. Ever since these office was acquired by U of R, service has been down hill. Not sure why I stay a patient.

I have used Flaum for some time now. I am disappointed with the administration and considering leaving. They have canceled 2 appointments now for the optometrist. My ophthalmologist does not seem concerned with the side effects of the Vabysmo injections I have received. My original eye doctor left the practice and I feel like I am getting second rate care. While speaking of my concerns the doctor seemed more concerned about his title of doctor than my suffering. I had called him by his name. The man is 30 years junior to me. When I speak to any of my physicians I use their given name. It seemed petty.

The doctors and staff are great but I will not use the optical shop ever again. I had new lenses put in existing frames. I returned multiple times because the lenses kept cracking. The last time I went, the technician who had ordered my glasses had left that location. It turns out he had ordered the wrong size lenses and tried to compensate, by tightening the frame, causing the cracks. Finally, someone actually double checked the measurements and found the error. My glasses have been fine since.

Very disappointing experience with the optical shop. I requested a contact refill and gave them the brand and prescription in MyChart. The optical shop did not order the correct ones. They eventually ordered the correct ones but because the box was opened (I ran out of contacts during the delay they caused) they would not give me a refund for cost difference. The mistake was made by them, so the opened box policy should not apply. I will never work with the Optical shop again.

Dr. Farugia and her team are excellent! I feel very supported and well-taken care of. Plus, whenever there is a change or new concern, Dr. Farugia does her best to vocalize any new findings & take time to communicate, research, and understand my current state of health. Thank you for going above & beyond! I really appreciate the staff at the Flaum Eye Institute!

On 01/04/2024 I had an annual exam by Dr Farugia . I then purchased frames from Eyeopeners using my new rx. I was unable to see correctly with new rx and had many back and forth messages with Dr Farugia via MyChart. I also physically went back and forth with Dr Farugia and Eyeopeners. I ended up using my older rx for new glasses as I was able to see clearer with that older rx. I've used up my eye insurance for this year on an unusable rx and exam. I would hope you could do the right thing and let me have a second opinion eye exam with a different doctor at your facility Free of charge.
