Avoid this place at all costs if you want to get mad every time you need a reparation because those glasses don't last AT ALL. Bought 2 glasses less than a week the screw came off. Purchased insurance for those glasses in specific, they give you attitude when you go back to the store because of those screws that comes off easily. Just avoid it, payed around $350.00 with eye insurance for nothing!

Great shop, came here for the first time a week ago for new contact lenses and an eye exam, very nice and helpful staff. Doctor was thorough- they all were very professional and took the time to explain what was going on with my eyesight. I'm very happy with the service and plan on coming back! Thanks guys

My best friend, in an impulse suggested for me to get my eyes checked and I did! So many selections of assorted styles and brands! I treated myself to a MK glasses and I am in Love! They fit great, light, perfect package! NEW COUNTY OPTICAL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION and are expanding their place, which is awesome! I can only imagine how even greater it will be! Cindy was phenomenal! She assisted with all the paperwork for my insurance and made it all very seamlessly! Scott, such a gentleman! Called me back directly to let me know my trial contacts are on the way. I work in an insurance company for years and know how it is to deal with different providers. This place here is top notch! They have been here in the community for years and I know will still be here for years to come! Highly recommend for all your eyes!!

I've gone to New County Optical since I was a little kid, getting every frame and eye exam from them. Now that I'm older, I figured that I'd continue the tradition. I got my eye exam done and proceeded to look for a frame. I headed into the sales floor and waited for an associate to help me find a new frame. As I was waiting, the older lady at the desk started comparing my insurance with another customer's insurance. She said, "Oh, he has better insurance so he doesn't have to pay as much. Your insurance only covers $200 for lenses and frame, compared to the other customer, who only has to do a $25 co-payment for his." The amount of disrespect for a sales associate to say that out loud in a store with customers is insane. She was patronizing me as if I were beneath the other customer. Yet, I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking to myself that she meant no disrespect, so I shrugged it off. After, a couple of minutes, I picked out a nice Prada frame. After three weeks of wearing my new glasses, I struggled to adapt to them. I went back, and according to the optometrist he had given me too strong of a prescription. At that point I should've just gotten a refund and took my business elsewhere. Things happen, it's life. So they re-did my eye exam and gave me a weaker prescription. The glasses are nice but I wish the old lady associate told me how they are supposed to fit. unfortunately, the frame I purchased had a smaller nose bridge than my previous frame. It caused pinching on my nose and at first I thought it was just the heavier weight of the frame. Fast forward five months later, after constantly getting re-adjustments due to the frame not sitting right on my face, I went in on Tuesday, March 26th, and told the optometrist about the issues I'd been having with the glasses. I explained that over time, the pressure on my nose bridge had become unbearable--completely unwearable because the pain was so bad. He kind of ignored what I said and asked if I was sweating, stating that the material of my glasses expands in warmer weather and gets stickier with sweat in terms causing the glasses to be heavier. He offered other adjustments but at the end he said there's nothing that else we can do since too much time has gone by. Its not even six months, all my questions and concerns didn't spark any concerns or thoughts about the frame being too small on my nose? Now I'm stuck with glasses that cause an extreme amount of pain on my nose bridge. New County Optical is more focused on taking your money than prioritizing the needs of the customer. What a shame for a shop that I visited regularly

Scott and Kathy (I believe I remember the names properly) are so awesome and provide superb customer service!! I picked some glasses I thought I liked then she suggested a whole different pair and I'm so glad I listened to the expert because I love them!!!!!

Wow ... my experience at New County Optical was horrible. I went there looking for new frames. I'd never been there before and will never go there again. The young lady behind the counter was very nice and told me to have a look around. If there was anything that I was interested to let her know. This place has a good selection of nice frames. I saw 4 that caught my attention. Then out of the back comes this other guy who looks at me and ask ... can I help you. Just looking to get some new glasses I said. He says ... well before you go to trying on glasses, do you have insurance. I was shocked that he ask me that. I answered yes ... and then he went further asking if it was for visual. At that time I felt like I wasn't supposed to be in there. I ask the young lady who first help me to show me a frame that I really liked. She got a key and open the display window and showed me the frames I was interested in. But by now I'm very uncomfortable. I liked the frames but it was time to go. I said "Thank You" and I left. Once in my car I thought about how I really liked those frames and wondered who the designer was. So I went back in there to look at this frame again. The same young lady greeted me and I ask if I could see the frames again and who they were by. She show them to me then she asked me about my insurance. I ask why are you asking about my insurance and she says something about how it would help me with the purchase. Now I'm insulted! Who said that I needed help in purchasing new glasses. The frames were $450. That's about the average price I pay for frames. I love stylish designer glasses. Once I found out who glasses were by I left. There is no way that I would get anything from New County Optical! I'll never go there again! What a disappointment. Good news is that I found the frames online and they were not as expensive as they were at "New County Optical".

I got my glasses here and recently got my contacts as well and Cindy was very helpful with the process of putting them on and going above and beyond to help me in every way. Great place for glasses, contacts and exc. Highly recommend
