Recently moved to 257 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. Beautiful store, amazing selection of eyeglasses, and fantastic Optometrist! I thoroughly enjoy working here and being able to help people look great and feel confident while wearing their eyeglasses/ and or contact lenses. There has been a shift in Employees and we really look forward to assisting and making your experience memorable and accommodating.

I've been a patient of Raymond Opticians for decades. I wouldn't consider going to another practice. The quality and the expertise can't be matched. If I wanted drive thru service, I'd go find the Golden Arches!

Listen, let me just start by saying that the women who work here are wonderful. However, I randomly chose this location for an eye exam and quickly realized that eye exams are clearly not where they make their money. I have a detached retina with massive scarring, and every other eye doctor I've seen has shown amazing interest in how my eye has attempted to self-repair over the last seven years. Unfortunately, the eye doctor here was more focused on providing a prescription that would allow the front desk to upsell glasses, which are normally included with my insurance plan. When I explained to the eye doctor that I alternate between 1.00 and 2.25 reading strengths depending on whether I'm reading or soldering a wire, she arbitrarily put a random number on my prescription. This prompted a bifocal upgrade when ordering my included glasses, which caused the price to jump from a $20 co-pay to well over $100. The care provided during the exam was probably a 3 out of 10 compared to what I've had in the past. Granted, I've been to some of the best eye doctors in New York City who operate at an entirely different level, but if you're not passionate about your line of work, it's time for a change. I could barely get any questions answered, so maybe the doctor was having a bad day--or simply shouldn't be performing eye exams and interacting with other human beings in this capacity, lol. If you're looking for a serious eye exam and have real eye issues, this is definitely not the place to go. This is just your local eyeglass shop trying to make a quick buck. I actually left one extra star on here because I really liked the woman at the front desk, and she did set me up with eyeglasses that everyone says looks great on me, but for the $20 co-pay I ended up getting a pair of glasses that are similar in quality to what I would get at Dave's Dollar General Shop.

Erica was wonderful upon my first visit to your location. She was very involved in my glasses picking process. Took her time and made honest recommendations which allowed me to pick my newest pair of frames. Super grateful. We need more people like Erica who are friendly social and care about the business they're in and truly make a difference. Went to the White Plains store on Saturday to pick up my glasses. The hours said 10:00am to 3:00pm on the website so I went at 11:00am. I drove through the traffic and around the block a couple of times to find a parking meter. Paid for the meter and when I got to the door, it was locked and a sign said, be back in 30 minutes. I couldn't wait so I had to leave not knowing exactly when the 30 minute closure started. They are closed on Sunday and Monday so I have to wait until Tuesday to pick up my glasses. Not a great way to run a business. Saturday hours are important to most people who work all week.

Just had my first eye exam here and I cannot say enough great things about them! The Doctor was so knowledgeable and quick! Katie assisted me with my eyeglass selection and she was fantastic! She gave me her honest opinion and was not pushy at all. Fantastic prices and they had me in an out of there within 1 hour. Will absolutely be going back.

Been going here a few years and never really had an issue until today. Appt made for my daughter and I at 320 and 340pm so we arrived at 315pm. Walked in and girls at front desk are chatting so I interrupted and said hello, we're here for our appt today. One takes our name/confirms a few things and lets us know the dr will see us soon. We look at glasses to pass the time and another lady with her son comes in. It's now 350pm and the lady says I'm here for my 410pm appt but I'm early. One of the girls upfront proceed to take her info and the lady looks around at glasses to also pass the time. The dr comes out soon after and calls the lady and son in for their appt. You know this didn't sit well with me as me and my daughter has been there since 315pm so I proceed to the front desk and let them know how long we've been waiting. They're surprised and say you were next! I say if I'm next why and how did this lady and her son go in front of us? I hate to believe it had to do with the color of my skin but I told them to let the dr know NOW that we've been here and how they need to pay more attention to who's in their office waiting. The Dr came out and told the lady and son to sit down and she'd be with them after she sees me and my daughter! I will never go back there as the front desk is awful and do not pay attention or care who has appts! Customer service is gone!
