I really liked the wide selection of frames available in the store. I ended up buying two pairs. The staff was very friendly, and Patrick in particular was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive-his assistance made the experience even better. Overall, I especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere, the great variety of frames, and the excellent service from Patrick.
If you have a prescription that is even slightly complicated, don't come here. I was really disappointed with my experience at Warby Parker and I'm not sure I'll be back.
Because I have a slightly challenging prescription, I checked to make sure they could fill my prescription before trying anything on. An employee told me yes, that my prescription would not be a problem. She even told me about some of the costs.
I spent the next 45 minutes picking out glasses. Trying on many pairs and sending photos to friends for input. When I was ready, several employees were standing around but didn't step in to help me, so I waited in line for the counter.
We went through the entire process of purchasing glasses. Like renewing my prescription, measuring pupil distance, everything. Then the employee asked for my prescription again and suddenly informed me that they couldn't fill it because my prism correction was too high.
I don't understand why this wasn't addressed when I asked at the beginning. I did my due diligence because I know my prescription is difficult. Instead, they wasted nearly an hour of my time and a lot of energy.
As someone who is disabled with an energy-limiting condition who often uses a cane, every errand requires precise planning. I don't know when I'll have the energy to try again at another store, and this setback was completely avoidable.
Warby Parker needs to train their employees on common eye-related problems and make sure their staff actually KNOWS the limitations of their labs. That responsibility should not fall on the customer.
I am beyond disappointed. This was a terrible experience from start to finish.
On the upside, I rescheduled my appointment at the Ridge Hill location. My experience there was fantastic. Very professional and helpful. The exam was perfect, the folks out front helped me pick out glasses that work for me, and I ended up buying 2 pairs of glasses as well as contact lenses. The Westchester location employees could learn a lot from the Ridge Hill folks.

Find another company for eye exams, glasses, and contacts. Warby Parker was once a consumer-focused company. That is no longer the case. I had an appointment at the Westchester. I arrived 20 mins early to find parking so I could get to my appointment roughly 10-15 early. But that location was experiencing a parking issue and it took me the full 20 mins to find parking, which caused me to arrive 5 mins late. They refused to see me. They didn't care about the parking issue -- which they never warned me about -- or the fact that, as a family, we have been using Warby Parker for over 10 years. They gave me no options and would not even consider fitting me in while I was there. I was willing to wait. But they refused. The manger was smug and simply didn't care about the customer. I see no reason for my family of 4 to patronize this company ever again. I suggest that others find another company for their eyewear needs.
I've been going to Warby Parker since the first store in NYC opened. The selection of frames has expanded significantly since then, and many of the shapes I would find with designer brand names, are represented here.
The store at The Westchester is modestly sized, but very accessible. I was greeted immediately when I arrived, and the store rep tailored their approach to my needs. I have been a long-time customer, and was returning to this location for the second time, so he asked questions that went beyond the basics, knowing I knew what they had to offer.
The rep looked at my prior order and noticed that I purchased transition-type lenses prior to their new release, and recommended those - they get darker while in the car, unlike the first generation of transition-type lenses.
Staff here are friendly, knowledgable, willing to help, and not pushy. Would recommend in the past, and certainly more so now.
Easy appointment scheduling with Optometrist and Staff were thorough as well as patient with selection of the right Eye Glass frames with options. Really great experience and I didn't have to wait long.
Though I do have to wait 2 weeks for my Eye Glasses to be delivered. But not a big deal.
Seeing is believing. Highly recommend the Warby Parker at The Westchester.
Patrick our sales rep at Warby Parker in White plains was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond the norm to ensure we had a successful experience. He and the store are very professional. This from a person who has been in sales over 50 years.
Thank you!!
Has anyone else experienced horrible customer service from Warby Parker?! We were supposed to get a weeks worth of trial contact lenses and they only gave him 3 lenses... not 3 days worth but 3 actual lenses? They told him his glasses would be to him within 10 days, online it says they haven't even shipped yet. The Westchester Mall location doesn't have a direct number, and we escalated it through the call center at least 5 times with no response or resolution.
Had my 5th annual positive experience of purchasing new eye glasses at Warby Parker! The staff are always so pleasant, helpful, and attentive. Can't wait to get my new pair in a few weeks!
