John was super helpful and attentive. He worked quickly and provided great customer service. Because of the excellent experience we had, our family will be using Stanton Optical for all of our eyeglasses needs moving forward.
I am extremely disappointed with the service at the Asheboro location. On February 21st, I purchased two pairs of glasses for my daughter, totaling over $400. After leaving, I discovered I had been significantly overcharged because my insurance was never actually filed, despite being told otherwise. While the store manager was helpful in issuing a refund the following day, the service has since declined.
Since then, I have been told multiple times that the glasses were ready for pickup, only to arrive and be told they were not. Most recently, after receiving a call on Feb 28th confirming they were ready, I took time off work and pulled my daughter out of school today (March 2nd) to pick them up--only to be told once again that they aren't there.
My daughter has a severe astigmatism that impacts her education and sports. The lack of accountability and the repeated misinformation from the same staff member who originally mismanaged my insurance is unacceptable.
Candy was an absolute God-send. I was struggling to find the perfect pair of frames for me and just as I was about to settle for something less than what I truly wanted, I showed Candy a picture of a pair I had years ago that really complimented my face. She stepped away from her desk and came right back with a nearly identical pair as the one I got from another optician in another town more than 5 years ago! And she didn't even get frustrated with me for changing my mind at the last minute and choosing that perfect pair that she found for me! This was absolutely amazing customer service! I will definitely return to this location in the future! Thank you Stanton Optical and thank you Candy!
Made an appointment for both my daughter and and I to have our vision checked. We walked in and we both were greeted and directed to the waiting area. It didn't take long before we were seen for our vision exams. Stanton uses the typical remote vision exams. Process went pretty quickly. It wasn't long before my daughter was picking out her eyeglasses and we were both selecting our contact lenses, all with helpful direction from the office staff. I did end up purchasing a pair of glasses myself at a later date, and absolutely love them. They have a good selection of frames at various price points that are clearly marked.
The entire office staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. They go the extra mile to make sure that your corrective vision suits you, both in contact lenses and glasses. Very thankful for their attentive nature. I will be returning to this Stanton location every year with my family as long as this type of care remain consistent.
Scheduled a relative two weeks ago giving all pertinent information. Waited 70 minutes past appointment time only to be informed that the patient was too old to be examined. Walmart will check you at 100.
This was by far my least favorite optometrist experience. The "virtual" appointment was an unexpected surprise, and it's not something I'd ever choose again. They had to reset the remote-controlled exam equipment three different times while the lenses flickered wildly in front of my eyes. After all of that, I was told to go look at frames again--despite already having a pair--because the remote doctor had suddenly disappeared from my exam.
A few minutes later, I was called back for a manual test that wasn't even done by an optometrist. After jumping through all these hoops, I was quoted an astronomical price--even after being told I had "great insurance." When I declined and said I'd just pay for my exam, I was asked, "Well, where did you want to be on these?" as if I were negotiating at a yard sale. You gave a price--I'm simply not paying it.
They also advertise same-day glasses, but conveniently wait until payment to tell you they "only have one of your lenses" and the other won't be in for two weeks. We heard multiple people being told this same excuse while we were there.
The entire experience felt like a waste of time. There were no high-quality frames available; I came in hoping to replace Oakleys, but everything felt flimsy and cheap. My wife and I were there for nearly two hours, and everything about the process felt disorganized and misleading.
Overall, the whole practice felt like smoke and mirrors, and I won't be returning. If you're looking for a real, in-person optometrist experience, this is not the place.
After care is Amazing! I went in to tighten my frames that I bought 2 years ago. Nate fixed them and explained another option for me to keep my glasses from slipping. Bending the ear piece to better fit. He did it and its a huge difference! He even cleaned them. Nice!! Everyone tere is professional and warm. Ill be returning for next eye exam. Highly recommend. Thank you, Nate!
It was a bad experience all the way around. We went there because of the free eye exam and BOGO eyeglass sign in the window.
The free exam cost was $103, they weren't able to dialate eyes, so we had to make an appointment at an actual eye doctor, which costs $150.
After 2 exams in 8 days they tried to make us do a third just to verify. The BOGO offer was not honored either.
I would not recommend coming here for your eyecare.
