After moving back to the Asheville area and needing to establish new eye care, I decided to come here and they've been so helpful! All of the doctors and staff I've spoken to are super friendly. Heaven helped me the last couple times and she was so professional and patient while I tried to pick frames for my new glasses. She's always smiling and was super quick to help me out. The rest of the staff also weighed in on which frames they liked the best which made me feel super supported and excited!

Everyone in this office including the ophthalmologist is absolutely wonderful! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and positivity. I've been to other offices in my area that lacked professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere, and where the physician was often more than 15 minutes late. This office is completely different! I've been coming here for years, and even though it's a longer commute for me, it's worth it every time because they make each visit a great experience. They're especially patient and kind with children. Heaven and the office manager were amazing with my son, they took the time to make him feel comfortable and even excited about wearing glasses! Highly recommend this office to anyone looking for exceptional care and a friendly, professional environment.

I visited My Eye Doctor to browse their selection of glasses after comparing prices at a few other locations. Unfortunately, I found the level of professionalism during my visit lacking. There was a staff member there that was dressed in a manner that I felt was not in line with professional standards with their belly hanging out, which impacted my overall experience.

Consistently best eye doctor / glasses ordering experience I've had (and I'm OLD). Dr. Steger is so great. And Heaven (yes, aptly named) is very friendly, attentive and efficient (including finding REAL SAVINGS) in helping me pick and order glasses.

Do not go to this eye doctor. They pull a bait and switch and will double your basic eye exam charges. Very unsatisfied with the service and doctors at this practice. Went in a $150 eye exam and was told to pay $300 at checkout. Was told it was extra for the "free trial contacts." Then when I called back was told it was for a "contact lens test as well as an eye exam."

Heather and Dr. Mikolich were both wonderful! Very nice and thorough. They take time to explain everything and the overall appointment was quick and easy.

I've been to a few My Eye Doctor offices with good experiences, but Dr. Steger has been the best provider so far. My husband and I scheduled an appointments and were impressed with Dr. Steger's thorough exam, energy, and modern recommendations and insights on eye care and family health. Other office staff members were kind and efficient as well. I was impressed with the immediate welcoming greeting we received as we walked in and when I returned to pick up my contacts later. This location is very easy to access off Tunnel Road and there's ample parking.

So I visited this place on January 7, 2026. They were really nice when I went in for my eye exam and to get new glasses and things like that so I felt like they charged me a little too much money and I had two insurances that I remind you and still came out paying like almost $800. So the next day I called just a question about the price and I had two insurances. The girl that I spoke with her name was Haven. She was kind of rude so I just got a little frustrated and I called to a different location and spoke with someone that was able to help me with the situation. So I was told that my glasses would be here on the 16th of this month and I called to confirm this on Wednesday, January 14 got the same girl she was still kind of little Rude so then I called today to see if my glasses had arrived at the same girl. She was rude as well this time and she said that my glasses had not arrived and that she was gonna call and find out why for me so I called at 11:30 AM and had not received a call back by 3 PM so I'll call again and got a different girl who was nice to be told that my glasses are no longer gonna come until the 21st Of this month, I remind you that when you order glasses and they send them off, they should come together already. She told me that they're shipping my lenses and my frames separately and that they would put them together when they got to the place I've never even heard of this before, but the moral of this story is that the customer service here sucks and I don't recommend it to anybody I would never go to this place again ever once I get my glasses I will be done.
