Tunnel Vision

Dr Newton and the staff at Tunnel Vision are a very caring and thorough team. They take the time to make you feel comfortable and answer all your questions. I moved out of town a few years ago, but I continue to return to Tunnel Vision for excellent eye care.

Staff were polite. No pushy people when looking for glasses. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

After taking my son to Tunnel Vision back in 2003 (the cute little multicolored building that no longer stands in what was the KMart parking lot) because they had Saturday hours available, and being assigned to Dr. Newton, it wasn't long afterwards that I too became a patient of his. After doing my son's exam, he turned to me and thoroughly explained my son's vision needs. He is highly professional but his attention to patient care and soft spoken demeanor really did it for me. I work in a Dr. office and I understand how important it is to make patients feel welcome and supported, that their conditions and needs are met. He listens to all questions and is one that doesn't get irritated to hear the same question several times. I have noticed different faces within the showroom team, but they all seem knowledgable in their field, and that doesn't take anything away from the care you will get with Dr. Newton. I cannot speak of the other physicians in the Tunnel Vision office, but highly recommend Dr. Newton for your vision health.

As a lifelong glasses wearer, I have gone to a ton of independent eye centers - Tunnel Vision by far is the best care I've received. I went in knowing nothing other than I liked the name and they were the nicest office when answering the phone. Dr. Newton was knowledgeable and professional. The equipment and testing done here is far beyond technology I've seen at other places. I felt comfortable and was so impressed by the quality of care. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Amy who helped me order my lenses. I had a ton of questions after beating up some old lenses and she had every answer. She was so patient and friendly. The price is definitely a little on the higher side of what I've paid, but their warranties and quality of care absolutely justify it. I won't go anywhere else!

We have been customers of Tunnel Vision (off & on) for many years, and have always "regretted", when we has to use other providers (because they were out of network with our insurance company). We are so glad, they are "In Network" with our current plan, because they are superior, to most of the providers in the Asheville area.

I've been a patient of this practice for over a decade. They're warm and friendly. I was seen quickly and the exam was excellent. There was no pressure to purchase with them, although I definitely did. They are top notch providers. As a fellow healthcare provider, I can't recommend them highly enough! You're in good hands! Dr. Newton is excellent!

After a botched eye surgery 9 months ago, my vision has only gotten worse. The "workaround" prescription I received from my surgeon caused so much visual distortion that it made me want to puke. But after visiting Dr. Newton for an eye exam, I was amazed at how thorough the testing was compared to my experience at the Duke Eye Center. Dr. Newton completely revamped my prescription and suggested a new lens material that would help with the distortion.. Amy was a pleasure to work with when selecting my lenses--friendly, efficient, and made the whole process easy. These are the kinds of services you just can't get online. The staff here is wonderful, and the space is modern, clean, and welcoming.
