Always a positive experience. Dr Kumar is attentive and takes time to answer any questions I may have . I have been his patient over 13 years and would not consider going to another practice. His staff have told me they have learned so much from him. I have only seen his associate one time and she is a great addition to the practice. All staff from those at the front desk to those that perform the screening processes are professional and helpful.
I have recommended the practice to others and have several friends that go there.

I have so much respect for Dr. Kumar and the staff at Carolina Retina Institute. In addition to his skills as an ophthalmologist and retina specialist, Dr. Kumar has compassion, patience, and an ability to explain things and put people at ease. I was very anxious about an issue that came up in one of my eyes, but once I knew that I could get in and see Dr. Kumar, I put myself at ease, knowing I would be in good hands. I left my appointment satisfied and very thankful for Dr. Kumar and this practice. The whole staff was calm, respectful, patient, and well organized. Dr Kumar and the office staff were wonderful! I have been to several ophthalmologists over the years but he is by far the best of all of them. I have been visiting this office for about 3 yrs n very satisfied, but on my last visit 11/24 had a couple tests n had eyes dilated before seeing Dr Kumar. He reviewed the tests n said "no changes" but didn't look into my dilated eyes which I realized after having to drive home. arghhh So why dilate my eyes?
Other than this recent experience I've had excellent outcomes after 2 surgeries.
