Been a patient at this office for about 16 years. The doctors are always professional, and detailed. Never had an issue. I ordered my glasses over a month ago, paid to have them shipped to my home, called today To ask the status of my order. At this point, I was told my glasses were at that office. No phone call telling me my glasses arrived occurred. Should not have to call over a month after the glasses are ordered. Customer service is not what it used to be there. Will seriously consider going to another eye care center.

I had a comprehensive eye exam and purchased new glasses on 11/13/2025. I went to the Barnes&Noble Plaza eyecarecenter in Cary, NC. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Manton took quite a bit of time explaining the changes in my vision since my last exam with another provider (3 or 4 years ago). She made sure to answer all my questions. The technician who helped me order my new glasses carefully explained all my choices and told me how much my insurance would cover and how much I had to pay. I was very satisfied with their service and expect to keep them as my eye care provider for many years to come.

I've been going to eyecare center for about 20 years and have always felt subtle pressure to buy glasses from them which I didn't appreciate. Last year after I had my exam they did not give me a prescription which I was not happy about and I had to wait Two or three days to get it which further reinforced to me that they really didn't want to give it to me. This year when I went, I had to sign a form giving them permission to give me my prescription, which made me think that other people had complained about the same thing. I left them a feedback regarding my feelings and the practice or business manager, Jessica, called me at 8:30 in the morning to discuss it which made me think that she really didn't want to talk to me to be calling me at that hour. She left me an extensive message which was pure defensiveness. So I called her to clarify my feedback and she was very disrespectful cutting me off and talking over me and was extremely condescending. She explained to me that selling glasses is the business model. In fact, she actually said to me that they are a glasses business that offers eye exams. Seems like the healthcare aspect should be the priority, but that's just my way of thinking. If that's true then please change your name to eyeglasses center. If the eyecare aspect is not the foremost priority, but rather selling glasses is. If you wanna buy glasses from eyecare center then it's a great place with great doctors. If you're someone like me that simply wants an eye exam and a prescription to shop around and get the best deal on glasses then this may not be the place for you.

Friendly staff, professional, knowledgeable and kind. They were also terrific at communication-- after I booked an appointment, they followed up with a confirmation email, a summary of anticipated charges, and the forms to complete before arriving. They also were able to have lenses made for some frames I purchased in London! Very happy customer!

It was awesome. Dr. Weitz is one of the best doctor I know. I'm with him for last 25 years. I had done 2 eye caterite under his guidance.

Absolute worst front desk workers ever. It was 2 ladies who were extremely rude, short tempered, impatient, and not very helpful at all. The first lady had a pixie cut, glasses, and a head band, she was the rudest. And I believe Angela was the other lady. They are in the wrong profession talking and treating my mom and I the way they did. I had lost my glasses at a theme park and needed a quick eye appointment to get a new prescription. Initially I made an appointment at a different place scheduled for later in the day. but I had to drive back the next day to make it to classes so I scheduled an appointment here for an earlier convenience. There was confusion with the vision insurance I was using, and it took them the first 35 minutes of my appointment to get it figured out. I stayed in the waiting area while my mom ran over to the other spot to ask them to un-hold the insurance I was using, so eyecarecenter could access the insurance. (They were never holding the insurance in the first place.) all the while, both ladies were trash talking my mom and I while I was sitting right there in the waiting room. All In all, just going to get my eyes checked for a new prescription ended up taking 2 hours. I will NEVER be coming back here. Save yourself the hassle.

After 20+ years at an excellent eye doctor, I had to find a new one because of an insurances change. I didn't expect to find a doctor I liked as much as my previous one, but I was pleasantly surprised by Dr Covey and the Eyecarecenter. I received a thorough exam with friendly service every step of the process.

Mercedes seemed like she was just there to be there, didn't seem to know anything about glasses or insurance. Definitely won't be coming back once I receive my eyeglasses. The medical staff was more professional.
