Triangle Visions Optometry

There is a woman at the front desk that will ruin the entire experience. I struggled to put a 1 star review for the entire practice because the actual technicians and optometrist are EXCELLENT. Great customer service, caring feedback and helpful suggestions. The technical staff goes above and beyond for their customers. The problem is there is one older woman at the front desk who's customer service is just awful. She's rude in tone, condescending and will talk over and down to you. I have been using Triangle Visions since the office on 54/55 was a house (where you had to watch where you walked between rooms with various different levels/steps!) -- I estimate over the 20 years, I've likely spent 18-20K in services, glasses, lenses. This woman is rude when you're trying to make appointments, rude when you call with questions and rude when you're checking in! I would like to say to her, if you don't like working in customer service in a face-forward positionm, perhaps find other work before you run customers away. I enjoy working with Dr. O'Mara and the two technicians in front -- over the past 6 weeks, my entire family has been at this practice and probably purchased or used insurance to the amount of 2-3K (thank you astigmatism). However, I believe in spending my hard earned money where I recieve polite treatment. I will need to seriously reconsider all of our appointments next year if I call to make appointments and have to deal with her tone and general sound of irritation again. I called to make sure that all of the insurance information was taken care of before my daughter and wife went to their appointments yesterday. She answered (I can tell her voice); she told me yes. It was interesting that when my daughter arrived, there was no problem. But when my wife arrived, and I indicated very clearly that she was on my insurance, she was asked to provide her MEDICAL card even though the VSP insurance had already been verified. I'm ok with asking for her ID but again -- the TONE AND ATTITUDE AND EYE ROLL almost made me gather my family and walk out. We just purchased a home in Briar Chapel about 18 months ago, which is the reason that we are using this office and not the one in Durham any longer, in case there's a question.

We had such a great experience with Dr Kyle and we were moving forward with vision therapy for my daughter! They had to contact our insurance to get coverage information and never followed through so our insurance dropped the claim. It's frustrating because we paid another evaluation fee for my daughter and myself and we can't even get therapy. I'll have to pay again & go somewhere else since no one will return our calls! It's a shame ...because the Dr is fantastic!!

We needed our glasses adjusted and went to Triangle Visions. Giovanna greeted us with a smile, took our glasses and adjusted them. Giovanna was efficient and professional. I highly recommend Triangle Visions for all your optical needs!

I can't say enough nice things. A pleasure from start to finish. Check in was easy peace. The tech Brianna was so nice and extremely knowledgeable! The OD Dr Rodgers besides being very knowledgeable was very nice. The person that helped me with my glasses and what was covered again knowledgeable and patient. It was a great experience and I totally recommend them.

We had a great experience! My daughter progressed quickly with her vision therapy goals, thanks to Tara Lawson and Dr. Degman's joint expertise. Tara made vision therapy sessions fun with her energetic and creative approach! My daughter always looked forward to sessions and didn't mind the regular homework as Tara tailored it to her interests and provided kid friendly incentives. Would definitely recommend this team!!

We discovered our son had issues with his visual information processing skills when our general eye doctor recommended him for further evaluation with a binocular specialist. He was 6 at the time. They referred us to Triangle Visions Optometry where he was diagnosed with several conditions. We began vision therapy right away. We were unsure how the process would go because it requires a weekly appt and almost daily practice at home. The activities were fun for him and he absolutely loved seeing his vision therapist every week. They are extremely positive and work really well with children. This made the difference for him and helped motivate him at home to complete his home exercises. He ended up graduating from therapy in less than six months. We all thought he would need a full year! They customized the program to his specific needs. He no longer sees double and is learning to read with more ease. We also notice his behavior has improved because he no longer has brain fatigue from working extra hard to process the world around him. We highly recommend this practice!

My daughter went to Triangle visions optometry for Vision Therapy. I can't say enough about this team. Our Vision Therapist was amazing! It was a mentally and physically challenging experience for my daughter over many months but she always wanted to go to her appointments, somehow had FUN and solved the health issue we set out to clear. Our family cannot recommend them more. It's not cheap or easy but if you are dedicated they will help you succeed and have a great time doing it!
