America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I had a issue with my prescription. I forgot my contact strength was adjusted to assist with reading. It wasn't a good fit for me and I came back yesterday for an adjustment. Staff was so nice and helpful. Dr. Sharkey is awesome and AMAZING at what she does! I didn't have to wait long before Dr. Sharkey had my issue solved before I got to the contact desk. She went over my last visit with ease and had the perfect solution immediately. I appreciate her and enjoy past visits with her. I've been going to various Americas Best since the early 00's. Northlake is by far my favorite location. Thanks so much Dr Shakey and staff!

I had an appointment at 2pm and it is current my 3:15 and I still haven't seen the doctor. This is ridiculous and a waste of my time. Why offer a 2pm appointment when you can't see patients till over an hour afterwards??? This is directed at corporate. The system is flawed. Get more doctors available to move through appointments or don't offer appointments. The staff here is very professional, friendly and trying their best but clearly aren't being set up for success. I don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon. Fix this otherwise you'll just continue to lose more customers.

After not coming to this location for years because of awful service, unfortunately I had to come back because other locations were doing zoom eye exams and I needed a in person exam. I was told special trial contacts were ordered and I would be contacted soon. I called and asked if they were on the way, 2 times... a person on the phone assured me they were. My third call someone got on the phone and told me my eye club had expired, no one informed me of that information and no one had ever ordered the contacts... so the staff just lies on the phone to rush you off the phone!!! Went in to order contacts 12/30. Was told they would arrive in 7 business days. Received email on 1/8 stating they were in route to this location. Never received anymore contact. I tried calling location multiple times, no one answers phone. Finally yesterday someone answered the phone and told me contacts had arrived 1/16. That is definitely not 7 business days, but what's worse is i wasn't even contacted. You will never get good service at this location, ever!!!!!!!!

This review is a stark reminder of how a 10 paragraph 1-star review can eventually become a several paragraph 5-star review due to some top-level Customer Service and Communication from 2 very important people: Oria and Missy. Unfortunately, America's Best "systems" and their "bundles" do some funky things when issues are found or when a mistake is made. The process was exacerbated by poor processes that the company chooses to do in the way of refunds that caused a slew of issues for myself. A trip back was also made because my primary pair were so wrong that they almost caused myself bodily harm from how badly it affected my vision. SO, that being said: I was definitely not happy with my experience up until today. The staff are friendly and helpful, but so many "mistakes" by these systems had me aggravated and struggling to keep my cool. Fortunately, when I came back in to hopefully fix the last mistake today, Missy and Oria were there to bat for me and help me out. I was expecting worst-case scenario, but they provided me nothing but different possibilities and solutions until a best case scenario popped up and I took them up on it. Truly hilarious, amazing, and awesome human beings who are just going through it like the rest of us are. So, thanks for changing this review from a 1-star to a 5-star, Oria and Missy. Sorry I was grumpy lmao and I appreciate the both of you immensely. Truly!

Missy at the front at Americans Best at Northlake was awesome! She was fast, efficient, and accommodating. I was a last-minute add on to their schedule before lunch because my optometrist at a different location called out. I understand how difficult it is adding on a patient last minute, but they were so nice and kind, and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. Dr. Sharkey was great. Even with limited time, she was able to explain everything thoroughly and efficiently. Will definitely pick this America's best location over all the others.

Sade was amazing! She was very nice made me and my mom feel comfortable and handled our purchase with ease and made the process so smooth. Will recommend to anyone.

Overall a good experience. They need more chairs so individuals aren't standing after they have been seen by the doctor. Really like the doctors at this location. The wait after being seen is kind of long and they also do not give you your PD and ADD with your glasses prescription. I was told to use an App.

Now if I had solely dealt with Jenile it would've been 5 stars but Jay ruined that. I called to check if my glasses were ready and gave Jay my full name including both of my last names and was told they were not. About 10 minutes later, I received a text saying they were ready. When I called back to confirm, the employee Jay was dismissive and spoke to me rudely, saying, "If you received a text, then it's here," and became defensive when I asked him to double-check. The issue wasn't the delay, it was the attitude. A simple, polite confirmation would have resolved everything. Unfortunately, the interaction made the experience unpleasant and left me questioning the level of customer service here. Receiving conflicting information is frustrating, but being spoken to rudely when asking for clarification is unacceptable. One employee's dismissive attitude turned what should have been a quick confirmation into a negative experience. Customer service matters, and this interaction missed the mark.
