I had a great experience last week here. The front room staff was super friendly (a new person since the last time I went,) and the doctor took time to do a thorough exam and offered great suggestions on the latest contact technology. No more dry eyes! I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Amy and her entire staff were excellent. They were on time and thorough . Dr. Amy explained in detail the results of my eye exam and helped me process my new insurance which saved me money on my new eye glasses . Old school personal service ! Highly recommended

Dr. Guyer and team have done an excellent job taking over the practice! My glasses and contact lens exam was thorough yet efficient. As always, they have a great selection of frames! While the frames are at a higher price point than can be found online, they are so comfortable and durable- the quality is worth the extra cost!

I am so happy my husband convinced me to try Autarchic Spec Shop for an annual eye exam. On 4/11, I had my appointment, and I now have hope that my problematic vision is solved. For more years than I care to remember, I have struggled with my vision stemming from a stigmatism and, I will put it out there, age. Past exams and contact lens prescriptions have left me compromising my vision up close to have adequate distance or vice versa. Let's not mention driving at night; it was a joke. Add in achieving the proper distance from the tv and my phone. I have readers lying around like babies have pacifiers! Then, I had my exam at Autarchic. The experience here was magnificent, from when I walked in and made the appointment to walking out afterward. The lovely ladies, Dyan and Lana, provided clear instructions on what to do before arriving and gave me my login and password to the portal so I could have the paperwork and insurance taken care of pre-appointment. (@TheStig, I'm not sure about your Google review, but it is 100% opposite from mine and my husband's; he has been a patient for several years). I learned so much during my exam; it was like no other I have ever had. Dyan started the educational process that led to the actual exam. Through many questions and trials, Dr. Dryer concluded that I might see better with only one contact lens, and after adjusting to the change, I am so pleased with the results. I can do what I need to without modifying, squinting, and grabbing backup readers. I cannot recommend Dr. Dryer and this team enough for complex cases. For straightforward needs, well, the same is true. The customer service is terrific, the staff genuinely cares, and the eyeglass selection is excellent. You will not be disappointed spending time here.

The staff at Autarchic Spec Shop are always friendly, professional, and helpful. I've been going there since I moved to Charlotte in 2014 & they never cease to amaze me each visit. I highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

Dr. Dryer is extremely knowledgeable about eyes, and is so welcoming and kind. The team here at Autarchic Spec shop are all just the absolute best! I came in to get a new prescription after pregnancy. I strongly recommend setting up an eye appointment here as part of your postpartum care. I had headaches for a while, which I thought was sleep deprivation, until I realized that it must be that my eye sight worsened. Setting up an appointment was easy, and I was seen quickly. The consultation was thorough. I felt well taken care of. I will keep coming back here for my eye appointments for many years to come.

Great new patient experience for eye exam and new prescriptions for glasses and contacts. The front desk ladies are super nice and very helpful and this place is all about quality service and experience. Much, much better than going to a chain store or typical eye doctor. The doctor was very nice and took a good amount of time with no rush. Highly recommend Autarchic!
