Visited here for my annual eye exam. My doctor was great. Second time seeing Dr. Musto and everything went well. I thought I was there for my annual eye exam to get my prescription renewed. Went through the process and mentioned I'd like to get new glasses and order my contacts. The manager at the front desk was anything but pleasant. Almost seemed annoyed she had to help, she gave me my bill and I asked why I was charged $105 on top of the exam for contact fitting when I already had contacts and just needed to reorder them, she said nope you were fitted, my mistake then for not clarifying why I was there I guess. I then said I wanted glasses, she said have a look and then after providing zero help or insight looked annoyed I hadn't picked a pair yet so I said I'll just come back. Went home and ordered my contacts on 1-800-contacts and the customer service was totally different than my experience in person with them. I guess I'll go elsewhere to get glasses too. 2 stars for the doctor, 0 for the office manager.

Woke up with an irritation in my eye, and chose Carolina Vision Group because it was near me. Not only were they able to get me in this morning (within the hour), but I was very efficiently seen by the doctor's assistant, and Dr. Musto. He was personable, listened, explained thoroughly what he was doing, and made me feel at ease as he examined my eye. I was done within 30 minutes, left feeling fantastic, and was able to go on with my day! Like a well oiled machine, this office ran perfectly! I highly recommend CVG on Golf Links, and Dr. Musto in particular!

I had a very disappointing experience with this office due to poor front desk customer service. I arrived on time for my scheduled eye exam after receiving no appointment reminders or pre-visit paperwork. During check-in, I was told that my vision insurance was "inactive." This turned out to be completely incorrect. The front desk staff made no effort to call the insurance number on my card to verify coverage or suggest doing so, and instead simply told me I could pay out of pocket. There was no line and plenty of time to resolve this, but no help was offered. As a result, I was left to try to resolve this on my own and eventually chose to reschedule out of respect for the doctor's time. When I got home my husband and I immediately confirmed with both his HR department and our insurance carrier that our vision, medical, and dental insurance are absolutely active and in effect for 2026 and asked why the front desk staff didn't just call them to confirm? When I contacted another in-network vision practice the same day, they were able to verify my insurance immediately and sent confirmation and paperwork right away--something this office never provided. This feels like a training issue, but as a patient, I was left to figure it out on my own. Due to this experience, I will not be returning or recommending this practice.

Took my 87 year-old mother to CVG because her eyes were really bothering her, Dr. Marc Musto, & the entire staff were extremely nice & professional. He explained a solution for my mother's eye issues, & spent enough time with us to ensure my mother & I understood what we needed to do. CVG has a first class facility, with a very open & comfortable waiting room/eyeglass fitting area.

I went to Carolinas Vision Group to see their selection of sunglass frames. I was fortune to be helped by the manager of another location that was filling in that day. The fill in manager helped me place an order for prescription sunglasses. I preferred to pick up my sunglasses at Thomas House & Associates as that is my usual location. The manager at Thomas House was to be notified when the sunglasses were in so that she could take them to Thomas House for me to pick up. I was told the sunglasses would likely be in 8/7 or 8/8 by an employee that was nice enough to call the lab. It was an issue of needing the sunglasses before 8/9. I received no call, no updates. On 8/9 I called Carolina's Vision Group but kept getting pushed to their voicemail, I left a message around 9am that day. I didn't hear back. Around noon or so that day I gave up calling and drove all the way to the office. It turns out they were not only open, but a few employees didn't seem to be busy at all. I told the receptionist why I was there and mentioned the phone not ringing through, she could not have cared less. She made excuses for maybe the glasses were delivered "late" and that's why they didn't call, she did get up to check. No idea when the glasses arrived but they were ready to go. The lack of concern for me having to drive to the office to even see if they were open AND the fact that they didn't bother to notify the manager at Thomas House was clear. The attitude was very much they couldn't be bothered. One of the associates was also trying to convince me that I should go to their office in the future. No I am not interested in the lack of customer service at the location, I'm not interested in the traffic to and from the office, I'm not interested in the crowded small space, no. I called Carolina's Vision Group starting the week of 8/18 three times total to speak with the office manager Nicole. To date (9/15/25) Nicole has not returned my calls. I have since been told this is how this office is, and I won't return for any reason. I don't know how/why this office functions as it does, I won't recommend it to anyone. There are too many places to get eye exams, frames and contacts, there is no reason to settle.

I was very lucky to have Tabitha Kirk help me with my contact needs. I needed to do an exchange and a reorder of contacts. She went above and beyond to assist me.

Dr. Morrison is the reason I left the entire practice. She has no compassion for patients and their well-being. The only reason I stayed there for so long was because of Dr. Lutley but she moved on.

Tamra has been super helpful in getting me in for an unscheduled appointment!! She is lovely, kind and helpful.
