Been going to Dr Thomas for years. Everything was fine until he decided to sell his practice. It has gone downhill ever since. Most recently, I went in for an appointment. Everything was fine until I got to the optical phase to get my prescription and check out. The gentleman who help me was not friendly at all. You could tell he did not want to be there and didn't feel like engaging with me. I paid for everything and then I left. I got a call shortly after I left saying that I was overcharged and could come back for a refund or apply it to my next visit. I opted to go back for a refund. However, when I went back I asked for a refund 3% credit card fee that was charged on top the amount that was overcharged. First of all, the fact that they charge you a percentage to use credit cards is ridiculous and they always say "it's not our fee. It's the credit card servicer fee" I understand that. I have never had a doctors office pass that fee on to the customer, but it's fine. I'm not even upset at that part. I'm upset about that part. I'm upset that when I asked the $1.65 to be refunded to me on top of the amount that was overcharged, they said no. They argued with me. The lady even told me that other doctors charge it too just to contradict me. Honestly, it's not even about the $1.65. It's the principle. You guys made a mistake. You should absorb that credit card fee. I can't believe they argued with me about this. Finally, the lady just said she would have the front desk manager call me the following Monday. I told her if that fee did not get refunded I would not be returning. That was 2 months ago and I never heard from the manager. Needless to say, after going to Dr Thomas for years, I will not be returning. You have lost my business over a $1.65 fee.
A friend told me she bought her glasses that after her eye appointment and told me to try them. I only needed glasses. The lady that helped me was Glenda. That woman is amazing. I had picked out frames but they were a little to expensive for me. She said let me look, OMG, before she was finished she had at least 20 pair of frames for me to try. Then when I put them on she would say whether or not they looked good. I ended up with frames she chose, then she did all the customizing to be sure the prescription for the lenses would be in the right place for my eyes. Be prepared to spend some time with her, we spent well over an hour but it was well worth it. I will go back there again when I need new glasses and I highly recommend her.
I have had a huge amount of difficulty dealing with getting contact lenses and a prescription straight after an exam. I never had this problem when I dealt with Dr House directly. Appointments are made incorrectly and when you show up, they're telling you it was your fault which is not correct. I'm all for accountability on my part but they certainly aren't. We'll go elsewhere!
I had a wonderful experience! From all the staff to seeing Dr. Lutley, my visit was exceptional!
Wow. Where do I begin. I guess it all begins when I was a young boy, aged 10. I went to the eye doctor. I was so excited to get an eye exam done so I can be "20/20". Well what began the day led me down a dark path of "latrophobia" as my psychiatrist would coin the term (specifically eye doctors). Fast forward to 2025, I am a full adult and knew I needed an eye exam. I drove to this clinic not knowing what to expect. Instantly greeted by very friendly and kind receptionists. My nerves started to calm. I wrote down my information and was called back to begin the appointment. My anxiety filled the room. My hands started to sweat. But then, as I talked to the staff and Dr. Lutley, I could relax. My inner child was healing. I was explained thoroughly what the imaging showed from my scans and what prescription I would need. There was no lecturing. No condescending tone. Just positive, helpful vibes. I then went to pick up a pair of glasses and the staff helping me felt like my own family. They asked about me. It was as if my family was taking care of me. They told me 2 weeks time until I get my prescription glasses. I thought to myself, yeah right, no way they can turn around that quickly. I get a call 2 weeks later and lo and behold, my glasses are ready to be picked up. I fell down to my knees crying tears of joy. I couldn't believe it. The staff and Dr. Lutley were so kind and helpful in making this such a positive experience for me. They healed a 10-year little boy. However much this staff makes, I can promise you, that they deserve every penny and more! Thank you Dr. Lutley and staff.
Always a great experience with our doctor. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Never long wait, they do a great job with scheduling. Dr. House is a Great! Very efficient, helpful, kind and really cares about you and your eyes. I have been going there for many years, and have to say she is one of my favorite doctors of all time. I have complete confidence in her and she's always made me feel very comfortable. That is why I trust my eyes with her and will always continue to go to see Dr House.
Dr. Lutley is the best. I am very picky about my doctors and as an ex-quality manager, you bet I look at every detail. She will take the time and care about your eyes health. PS. The office is wonderful and the office staff is efficient and friendly. When you have a great experience in healthcare it seems miraculous these days but this office and Dr. Lutley know how to treat the patient.
I went to Thomas, House and Assoc due to their ratings and they took my eye care insurance. The optometrist was fine, but when I used their optical service to get new glasses, the service became disappointing. The first set of glasses were warped and misaligned, but they tried to convince me they were fine. They took the glasses to a back room to adjust and finally said the lenses were put in wrong and they could not fix. New glasses were ordered. When I went to pick up second pair of glasses, they were fine except they did need some adjustment to my face. The staff person insisted they were in alignment and argued with me without even trying to adjust them. I just gave up and left with the glasses. I subsequently went to another optical service where the personnel agreed the glasses needed adjustment and kindly made the adjustments. I will not return to Thomas, House, and Assoc for any further optical services.
