Charles Blotnick, MD

First, this is long but very worth the time to read. I would like to start with I rarely do reviews but I feel this one is more like a public service. Being a licensed Optician I had 35 years of experience working in the eye-care medical field and I had worked with many doctors of all sorts. I worked with Dr Blotnick 25 years ago and he had always seemed to be a kind and compassionate and eager to help his patients. My daughter was born with cerebral palsy and retinal blastoma so you can see I have experience with doctors of all kinds personal and professional. My mom started having some issues with her eyes and knowing she needed someone to treat her with kindness in a scary part of her life so I recommended Blotnick. I am so sorry I did. I was not able to go with but my sister did. I heard from both of them the same disappointing visit timeline. They both said he only spent about 5 minutes with my mom and most of that was scolding her. Take in mind she had tried to see him 3 years ago which took 3 months to get an appointment with him only for the office to cancel it at last minute. Well time was not kind to her. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and her focus was in his care and not her eyes. My mom is still feeling the effects of a huge loss of my dad and had had a year from hell with other health concerns of her own. Around a month or so ago my mom experienced a very scary vision change so we called and made an appointment with Blotnick. This is basically it. He spent 5 minutes with her and told her it was all her fault and he would have to send her to another doctor ASAP (within 2 weeks). He did not give anything to offer as far as this. Before she left the office an appointment for that other doctor was made March 21st (not within 2 weeks but better then the April one that was first offered). I am so sorry I ever recommended him but more that that I am so sorry that Blotnick had changed from that kind, compassionate and hopeful doctor I knew to a poor bed-sided non-caring jerk. My advise to him is ....kindness cost nothing but lack of kindness can cost more that he will imagine.

went to my Appointment today for 9:20 when i was told it would be 1-2 hrs wait i informed them that i had other pre op appointments for upcoming surgery and i couldn't stay. At which time they informed me i would be dropped from the practice because i would be rescheduled more than 2 times, I then asked to speak to Dr Blotnick whom has been my Dr. for the last 17 years. and was told I can't speak with him and it was the policy i then said i would wait for my appointment time to speak with him and mrs. porter informed me i was to late then called the police on me, what great people and i don't believe for one second Dr Blotnick told them to do so. if anyone can help me speak with Dr blotnick please let him know what took place today. It's irresponsible for a medical practice to stop giving medical care without first getting them another Dr. btw i would love to continue seeing Dr Blotnick Ralph Ehresman

Very clean place to go and everyone is so friendly. Dr. Blotnick was easy to talk to. He did my husband's surgery it went well. He could see better the next day from the first eye. Then 2 weeks later did second eye it also went well. Since his check-up he has 20/20 vision and only needs reading glasses! We would recommend to friends and family.

Dr. Blotnick was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and also has great bedside manner. I had LASIK last week and now have 20/20 vision. The procedure was quick and painless. The office staff are very friendly. Laurie was especially helpful at accommodating my busy schedule. I am extremely pleased with the entire experience and highly recommend Dr. Blotnick!

My wife was referred to Dr. Blotnick for her cataract surgery. She was pleased and I started tune him for routine exams. When I needed cataract surgery there was no question. I was very pleased with all aspect of the procedures. I am now 20/20 two years out. I am very confident and comfortable with Dr. Blotnick. He answers all my questions. Very pleased with the whole practice. Kim is extremely pleasant and professional.

Dr Blotink preformed my right eye cataract surgery in 2015 and just recently my left left. Experience was excellent and can see wonderfully. I'm not even a week out of left eye surgery and have 20/20 vision. I felt very confident having my eyes operated on by Dr Blotnick and would recommend him. You don't trust just anyone with your eye health! Randolph Office is in mist of remodeling so a little out of whack organizationally but didn't effect any scheduling or care maybe just took a few minutes longer for appointment. Staff very friendly!

My experience with this practice has been stellar. After surgery for a detached retina in one eye and cataract surgery for both eyes, my vision astounds me. 20/20 for someone who has worn glasses since elementary school! Dr. Blotnick used laser surgery to put in multi focal lenses and there was never any pain, there were no stitches and healing was an uncomplicated process. There is great value in having surgery, especially on your eyes!, with someone you trust completely.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. Dr. Blotnick and his highly trained staff made me feel relaxed and made sure I was aware of each step of the process from beginning to end. Dr. Blotnicks expertise and work ethic puts him ahead of the rest in his field. He has over 10,000 procedures under his belt and a willingness to stay knowledgeable when it comes to new research and groundbreaking technology that is beneficial for his patients. I am forever grateful that I was fortunate enough to have him do my procedure. Thanks Dr. Blotnick!
