Dara Khalatbari, MD: Eye Care & Surgeons of Charlotte

I recently had cataract surgery performed on both eyes by Dr. Khalatbari and found the entire process to be fantastic. As one may expect, I approached eye surgery with a bit of trepidation. Dr. K and his staff at Eye Care & Surgeons of Charlotte were all wonderful. They all took their time and walked me through the various options available and what results I should anticipate. They took a complex issue and made it simple and quite understandable for me. Tina Helms, the Surgical Coordinator, was amazing as well. She patiently guided me throughout the entire process and answered my innumerable questions in a friendly and professional manner. She spent a great deal of time reviewing the costs of the various options available to me and made that part of my decision making process so much easier. Dr. K actually performs the surgery at Atrium Health Surgery Center in Indian Trail, NC and I was thrilled with the care I received there on both occasions. So, in short, if you or a family member or friend has to have eye surgery, I heartily recommend Dr. Khalatbari. Oh, by the way, lest I forget, the results of the surgery were amazing - I'm seeing better now than I ever did with my prescription lenses.

The office staff at Dr. Khalatbari's practice are very friendly and helpful. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and supported by the entire team. The exams themselves were quick and easy, making the process efficient and comfortable. I appreciated the smooth flow of the appointment, which helped put me at ease. The consultation was highly informative. Dr. Khalatbari was extremely thorough in addressing all of my questions and concerns. He was very upfront and detailed in his explanations, ensuring I fully understood every aspect of my care. Overall, my experience was excellent. The combination of a friendly staff, an efficient examination process, and a thorough, informative consultation made for a positive visit. I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes. Dr. K was fantastic. He took his time explaining the procedure and made me feel very comfortable the day of surgery. I had great results, would highly recommend him.

Dr. K is a great listener easy to talk to and explained the cataract surgery in a very concise manner. I was very impressed that he had a "wait and see" approach to surgical treatment. Also, I appreciated that he included my spouse in the exam, explaining the issues and solutions and encouraged us to ask questions. Lastly, he has an excellent staff and a very good sense of humor. Dr. Khalatbari and his staff were wonderful. I had bilateral cataracts and he did a very thorough analysis of the geometry and function of my eyes. The staff was professional and couldn't have been any nicer, from the receptionist to the techs. There were no unpleasant surprises. The surgery on each eye was like clockwork, amazingly fast (15 minutes), and the results and post op visits were great. The results are amazing and if you need this type of surgery, Dr. Khalatbari is your guy!!
