Dr. Edwin Nunnery

Whatever I write here will not serve the amount of praise I want to give this practice. From the very first call I made to schedule a consult for PRK, they started to accommodate and truly listen to us a person and not just another patient. Re-evaluated their basic rules to allow for a consult even though we didn't "fall into their SOP" for even seeing us. The wait was about 7-10 days before we could be seen, I was happy with that timeline as a new patient intake. The front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant, offering snacks and drinks while we waited. The nurse / staff that did the testing was sweet and thorough! She made us feel comfortable the entire time and left us with a video (which answered so many of our initial questions) on PRK while we waited for Dr. Nunnery to come into the exam room. He came in shortly after, introduced himself and went through the findings. We were shocked by the news he was delivering b/c he diagnosed us with an eye disease that we were NOT expecting but without him, we would have likely gone on our way while my sons eyesight continued to deteriorate over time without knowing why and without knowing there was a full treatment to stop the degeneration (he had two eye exams prior to this consult and neither Doctor said a thing). He kept us calm and informed and spoke with such confidence and optimism that we didn't leave there devasted but ready to embrace the next step and a referral to CEENTA where they can perform the CXL required to treat the condition. Their help didn't stop there as we are on a tight timeline - they were able to secure an original consult date of June w/ CEENTA to now only a week away! I am blown away by their level of service and detail for a new patient during an initial pro bono consultation! Blessed to have found them.

I had a particular big problem with my eyes. I had heard great things about Dr. Nunnery and chose to go with him. I'm so glad that I did. He's not only a talented surgeon but a pretty remarkable guy. I'd trust him with any of my family and friends for anything!
