Dr. Thomas Mundorf

I have been a patient of Dr. Mundorf for 20 years and have consistently received terrific care and thoughtful advice from him. I just learned that he is retiring at year end, so I want to publicly express how deeply appreciative I am of his expertise, earnest concern for my wellbeing and reassuring demeanor. He is an old-school physician in the very best sense of that term, and I hope to find someone with his integrity and talents. I wish him a long and happy retirement.

I went to see Dr. Mundorf for the first time today. I am visiting from out of town and woke up with what felt like a foreign object in my eye. I was unable to relieve the pain on my own so began to call every ophthalmologist in my area. I called maybe 6 offices that were unable or unwilling to help me before I called Dr. Mundorf -- and I'm grateful I did! I was greeted on the phone by a woman with a friendly and patient demeanor. She listened and responded to my need with urgency, and was able to promptly squeeze me in. She was just as genuine and caring in person. And from the second Dr. Mundorf entered my room, I knew I was in great hands (you just get that feeling). He was thorough, personable, and so very helpful. To wrap up this novel of a review -- as someone who gets easily overwhelmed in "emergency" situations and who experiences some anxiety when visiting new doctors, I 100% recommend Dr. Mundorf for any and all of your ophthalmological needs. In the case I become a full time Charlotte resident, I know just who I'll be seeing!

Dr. Mundorf is very knowledge and took the time to explain my glaucoma condition without feeling rushed during my appointment. We also discussed the treatment options for my case. Highly recommend him.

Got me some great medication and I was much much better within just a few days. So glad that my doctor referred me to this amazing office.

I have been a patient of Dr Mundorfs for many years. He is knowledgeable, professional and has an excellent chair side manner. I had a problem several months ago. He immediately recognized the problem and got me in with a specialist within a couple of hours. His quick response saved me from having a much worse problem. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Don't trust this doctor. When I first treated by this doctor for glaucoma, my eye was 20% blind. He treated me for one and half years to lower down my eye pressure. So far my eye was getting the desired pressure. Then one day it went up to 23. He recommended me to have trabeculectomy (eye surgery procedure) and so I did. Within just a year my eye was 80% blind despite of my regular check up and followed all his instructions. I am more than 3 years now with a new eye doctor who is saving the remaining 20% of my eye sight. He said, my eye would NOT have turned this worse if he was the one treating my eye earlier.

Dr. Mundorf has saved my eyes on several occasions. I trust him. He listens and works with you.
