I was greeted with smiles by front desk personnel, promptly taken into an eye examination room by a very competent and friendly associate, who checked my eyes and zeroed in on the perfect (better than ever!) prescription. Then Dr Minkowski came in, checked my eyes, all the while explaining in his personable style the whats/whys of the issues I have encountered. Front desk, staff, and the doctor were very nice and informative . My dad doesn't speak English too well and I thought I had to go translate but the doctor spoke English and Spanish very fluently . They got my dad and I back very quickly. They really took their time with our appointment and that's what I liked the most . I really recommend this location.

Horizon Eye Care needs a system to let the staff know the changes of the doctors and pass on the information to the patients. I have been with the same doctor at Horizon for many years, but I was unable to see the doctors when I arrived at their office for my appointments two times in a row. The first time was that the doctor no longer accepts my insurance. During the 12 months, nobody informed me of the change. I thought it may be an oversight of the staff and made an appointment at their office with another doctor who accepts the insurance. I waited for another 5 months and this time I was told after I arrived at their office that the doctor no longer sees the patient over 21 years old. I was speechless.

I was referred to this location by my doctor who suggested that the bump on my eyelid from a stye I had almost a year ago was going to have to be cut out. I called and provided my Medicaid information prior to making the appointment and was told that my plan was accepted. I arrived and saw Dr Patel who told me to "put heat on it" and sent me on my way. I've been putting heat on it daily since early 2025. Now, two months later, I have a $220 bill because now they tell me my Medicaid is not "in their network" and my eye still is going to have to be seen by someone elsewhere and appropriately cared for. Thanks for waisting my time and charging me for the privilege.
