What a welcome extended to me upon entering. It is delightful to experience kind people working in an environment dealing with one of our most precious assets, our eye sight. I was going in to have my sight observed by the very kind and resourceful lady doctor. She and her attendent did a very professional job administering the eye sight tests and relevant questions and procedures. I truly felt as though I was with well known people. Their demeanor was well focused and people skills mastered. I usually am at Metrolina to see Dr. Blotnick so being seen by his colleagues was well in single in excellence I have come to know. This is truly an outstanding professional group of skilled persons doing practice in what I consider a dutiful and responsible occupation. Choosing any one of the skilled practitioners will be the right choice for your eye care needs.

The visit was not for myself but for my sister. And yet, I must say that it was a great visit. The doctors aid. I guess thats what they are called. She was great! The front desk secretary was very nice and gave us information that was of great help to us in reference to our insurance.
She explained it so well, that it was easy to understand. I thank her for that.
The Doctor was amazingly awesome!! She explained every detail of the medical exam with clear and understandable language.
She took the time to break it down to lames terms. I would give this visit 10 stars if possible. Great team. Extremely pleased.

Great service and experience with Metrolina Eye Associates University. Check in at the kiosk was easy and the staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Dr Dunkle was so pleasant and understanding. I was concerned about having my pupils dilated and not being able to drive home. Dr Dunkle understood my concerns, so she only used one drop instead of the normal drops to dilate me. I did not have any issues driving home afterwards. She also was thorough with my eye exam, and she allowed me plenty of time to ask questions. I did not feel rushed at all. I highly recommend Dr Dunkle and Mecklenburg Eye Associates for your eye care needs.

My experience with Metrolina Eye Associates has been declining with every visit. At the Matthews location, the pediatric doctor made my daughter feel very uncomfortable by telling her she was lying and saying she didn't need glasses, yet still prescribing them anyway. That interaction alone was very disappointing as a parent.
In addition, the front desk staff often seem to be in a bad mood and unwelcoming. Customer service sets the tone for any medical office, and unfortunately that has not been the case here.
Most recently, I went to pick up contact lens trials after being told I could do so even though the optical department would be closed. I confirmed this with Bianca the Friday before coming. However, when I arrived at the University office, the temporary front desk employee had an attitude and initially refused to give me the contacts despite the prior confirmation I had received.
Overall, the communication and professionalism have been inconsistent and frustrating.

My visit at Metrolina was a good experience with check in, the medical assistants and with Dr. Bosnick.
The medical team were professional and thorough; however, during checkout, I wasn't able to get an appointment to switch from My Eye Dr. to Metrolina because of the insurance I carry; therefore, at this point, it looks like I am unable to get new glasses. I will seek other options.
