Midwood Eye in Plaza Midwood is exactly the kind of local optometrist you hope to find in Charlotte. The whole experience felt modern, efficient, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Dr. Amanda is fantastic, knowledgeable, thorough, and she explains everything in a way that's easy to understand without making you feel rushed. Juli is also fantastic, welcoming, helpful, and on top of every detail.
If you're looking for an eye doctor in Charlotte for a comprehensive eye exam, updated glasses or contact lenses, or ongoing vision care, I highly recommend Midwood Eye. Easy to schedule, great communication, and a team that clearly cares about patients. Definitely the best optometry experiences I've had in Charlotte.

From the moment you walk in, the team is warm, welcoming, and highly professional. They clearly invest in the latest technology, and it shows in the quality of care.

All I can say is WOW!!! I absolutely love Midwood Eye! Dr. Amanda and her team are EXPERTS in their fields and the white glove service was amazing. Dr. Amanda's eye magic pretty much fixed my perception and I can actually see without feeling like I need to squint. BLEW MY MIND!!

Love love love it here! It was first time going to them for my eye exam and now I won't ever go anywhere else! It can be hard to know if a space will be respectful of your identity, so I want to put it out there that EVERYONE HERE IS LOVELY!! When reaching out they make sure to use your preferred name/pronouns (many other places don't even have an option to enter those on intake forms) which really shows that they are committed to being a safe space in the community. Even when discussing insurance in person they said "the other name," rather than blatantly saying my birth name. Acts like this that may seem simple to others are honestly hard to come by, and this attention to care is exquisite.
Their exam prices are also very reasonable, especially for the quality of care you receive. Very excited to receive my new glasses! Thank you for the great experience!
