Liz was incredibly helpful. She helped me pick the perfect frames and answered all of my questions in great detail. I'll definitely be returning and referring my family and friends.
Note that this review is based on the business practices of this company and is NOT a reflection of the service I got from the employees at this location, they did their job.
This is yet another example of typical Charlotte upcharging everything and adding on stuff you didn't ask for to try to suck every last dollar out of everyone. I went into this place after making an appointment online on the same day.
When I got there, the girls that were working told me to pick out some frames I liked while I waited to be seen. I picked 2 of the most expensive frames that they had, which the poster on the wall said were buy one get one free. I asked, you cut the lenses in house and they'll be ready today? They said "yes"
I was then called back for my exam, the first part went as expected, the second part is a little strange since they outsource their doctors to some third world country and they're just on the screen in the room with you. it's fine, it's just glasses, not heart surgery.
So I go back to the front and my 2 pairs of glasses for $229 with a free eye exam turned into a $700 proposal. I said to the girl "this is just for regular lenses?" she said "yes" I said "man, that seems like a lot" she huffed a little, mumbled something about "no warranty" which I didn't ask for in the first place, clicked a bunch of buttons and my total with tax for the same exact glasses turned into $377. I asked what the difference was, and they told me that they had taken off the anti glare coating (which I also didn't ask for) the warranty and downgraded me to "regular plastic" lenses. I paid, and then they told me that they would be in IN 2 WEEKS!.
I'm not faulting the girls that work at this place, I'm 100% sure they're told to act like this by whoever is in charge, but like literally everyone, I'm tired of every single service in this city being advertised dishonestly.
Will I ever go back to this place? yes, I guess, when my glasses come in in a fortnight that I thought I was getting today.

My visit to Stanton Optical today was eventful, as you can imagine the end of the year everyone is trying to get seen before year end so it was a busy day. There was a situation with an employee and a customer that was obviously stressful to the staff. I can honestly say that Crystal, Alicia and all the staff present not only kept calm, professional, efficient and pleasant but didn't skip a beat making sure everyone was taken care of as soon as possible. The wait time was longer due to the employee leaving and they staying short but the fact that they maintained a great attitude ensured everyone was pleased. I commend Alicia and Crystal.
Save yourself the headache and do not go here. I was there for 3 hours when the appointment should've taken 30 minutes. They had to retest my eyes 3x using different measuring tools because each time they did it, they got a different prescription. What they don't advertise is that you don't actually meet a doctor in person you have someone remotely on video call doing your eye exam. Staff had zero sense of urgency or professionalism.
My visit to Stanton was exceptional. Not only do they make their products affordable in an economy where healthcare is going up, their staff are professional, efficient and competent which makes their innovation with exams and same-day glasses second to NONE! I'm so glad I found you!
A BIG shout out to GiGi. I went in today for an eye exam and glasses. I don't know the other lady name that was there along with GiGi but she wore Gucci glasses . Both were very patient with me. I would definitely recommend this company.
Worse place ever, I went in to get a contact lens exam. First they tried to tell me the exam was over $200. Smh but their website clearly states something different. Then they wanted to charge $270 for lenses ONLY but the kicker was I told the receptionist, the assistant and the doctor I wanted a contact lens exam only to find out after they wasted 2 hours of my time in an office that had two customers at the time.... they did not do the contact lens exam THE REASON I WENT in there!! NEVER AGAIN will I waste my time with these CROOKS!!! If they wasn't so busy trying to rip people off with their FAKE promotions maybe I would have gotten what I went in there for !!!!
I purchased a pair of bifocal glasses here two months ago. Four separate attempts have been made to get them right, and every single one has failed.
We went so far as to change the frames, which only confirmed that the fault is entirely with the lab's inability to produce correct lenses. This is a massive failure in quality control.
While the female staff, the young female assistant and especially Miss Chiquita, were lovely and I appreciate their efforts, the service I received from Mr. Chan was unacceptable. After two months of being incredibly patient, when I finally asked for a refund, his face and attitude changed drastically. I had to ask him directly why he was acting like this, as the repeated failures are the store's responsibility, not mine.
****A GOOD Advise: This level of poor quality lab that you are using and the disrespectful customer service from Mr. Chan is a major issue. You need to find a competent lab.
****GOOD Note: they gave me my refund right away.
