Target Optical

I needed a new optometrist because my insurance changed and chose to go to this location and wasn't disappointed! Dr. Bowen is amazing! She is SO kind, friendly and very thorough. She doesn't rush through the process and explains everything very well. I felt like she really invested her time with me and made the most out of my appointment. She spent extra time with me to get my contact prescription and fitting just right. The front desk was very efficient; I think her name is Mary but I'm not completely sure--I'm sorry! She did the pre testing before my eye exam and did a great job! She was also very sweet and made the process smooth. So one thing to note is that the optometry side has different hours than the optical retail side. I came yesterday to get my trial contacts and the eye exam door was locked and lights off. I went to pick up my trial contacts and was disappointed but didn't actually go inside the building. I went back the next day because on the website it said they closed at 5pm and it was the same thing. I went inside the building this time and went to the optical retail side and the sweet girl working was able to get into the exam side and get my trials for me! I should have just gone in yesterday, instead of making two trips, but that's okay! Other than that, I have zero complaints!

Had an absolutely amazing experience yesterday here. First of all the girl who was working at the store Katlyn- a pleasure to work with. I really appreciate the fact that she was honest in helping me pick out my glasses and what fit for me. And then I got the pleasure of meeting Dr Mary Bowen. She was so nice. I could tell she was dedicated to her profession and was meant to be right where she is doing what she does. I've been to other optical stores but nothing as good as Target stonecrest. I really mean that from my heart. Thank you guys so much!

The people that work there are very nice, they know a lot about the products and very helpful. The frames are very nice, they are well price and have a good selection. It is my opinion that the warranty is a scam. They sell you a warranty for 18 or 24 month but there is some kind of crooked law in North Carolina that says your lens are tied to the prescription so if your glasses are damaged within 12 months of your eye exam, they will not replace your glasses at all. You will have to pay for another eye exam and new glasses. If your glasses are damaged and they no longer carry the frames they don't give you anything and you can't get a credit or money for the frames, you have to buy an entirely new set of glasses. My lenses were supposed to be scratch resistant but they scratched so easily. I feel the lenses are cheap quality. I am not going to recommend Target Optical as a business.

Tara was so helpful and friendly as she searched for insurance and discounts to get me the best possible price. I ordered contacts, progressive lens glasses, and driving glasses that will enhance mono vision contacts. She was able to reuse frames I already had and found me similar frames for the second pair. She met all of my requests.

If I could leave negative stars I would. I have made an attempt twice to pick up my new glasses that I desperately need. The first time I was told no licensed optician was on the premises for them to legally dispense my glasses in which a phone call could have prevented a wasted trip. I was told there would be one there Monday, so I made arrangements to leave work early to get there by the closing time of 7pm stated on the website. I get there at 630 pm only to be told "sorry he clocked out at 6pm and left." This is absolutely unacceptable. I now have to wait another 3 days before I can get them. This isn't just an item I ordered, this is for my vision. I am not happy and it takes a lot for me to be upset enough to leave a poor review. I will never use them again.

The optician is never on time. Third try. Never again. They clearly overbook. Why is their time more valuable than mine? Never have to wait for my appointment at the Steele Creek location. I don't do this to my clients and they shouldn't do it to theirs.

My experience at the optical store in Stonecrest Charlotte North Carolina was very very satisfying.Renee and Lori gave me the best advice and helped me and they adjusted my glasses. They were very very very polite and concerned and I enjoyed my experience and I would recommend people to come to this place too. thank you
