Everything about my visit at University Eye Associates was exceptional! Beginning with making an appointment, all the way through selecting glasses, the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and quick. Dr. Rose was especially a standout As a patient with long COVID, I'm used to people not knowing exactly what that means or how it impacts my health. Dr. Rose took the time to research my condition and its impact on vision...call me BEYOND impressed!! I would absolutely recommend University Eye to anyone looking for excellent care.
Rocky River location: Dr. Osborne is fantastic. Very thorough and professional. However, I've had a lot of difficulty with the office staff, scheduling, canceled appointments without notification, poor communication overall. I understand there is a new office manager, so we'll see. If it weren't for the fact that Dr. Osborne is great, I would be looking for a new place.
University Eye Associates are awesome! They are quick to get you in, the techs are professional and friendly, and every Doctor I've been too is knowledgeable and easy to talk too. I've been to two of their locations, and I've had no bad experiences. The eye glass selections are on point, and have different varieties and styles. I highly recommend them for your eye care.
I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rose Bittinger. She is caring, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. She answered all of my questions thoroughly - you can tell she really cares about her patients. All of the other staff I encountered were equally friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Rose and this practice!
Efficient 'new patient' process, awesome staff, superb optometrist - they make eye health, easy. He provided me a lot of great information during the exam, keeping me empowered on how to proceed. Would highly recommend!!
This was my first time to visit this eye doctor/clinic. My main reason for choosing this clinic was because my old eye doctor of more than 20 years, Dr. Tammy Hawks, changed practices & it took a while for me to locate her, but I found her. I love her so much because we have built a great rapport over the years. She always treats me well & she knows my eye situation very well, so when I attempted to see a different eye doctor a year ago, I absolutely didn't like that experience at all.
But this particular visit was for an emergency eye issue, so I had to go to the Rocky River location. The location is ideal & nice. Check-in was fine, but the wait time was not efficient considering that my eye started hurting, and for me, it was serious. The technician/nurse was nice. The doctor (not my regular eye doctor) was nice as well, but he ignored a couple of my (personal) questions that I asked him (since he asked me, or maybe he didn't hear me since I have a soft speaking voice); therefore, I will give him the benefit of the doubt because he was overall, very sincere, pleasant, & professional. Ever since COVID (2020), most doctors don't have the same bedside manner, where they shake hands seeing patients for the first time. I understand the situation because of the current state of affairs in terms of catching viruses (taking precautions), but there should be something else in place (elbow to elbow). He treated me with respect, decency, and kindness, so I am appreciative of that. I also appreciate that they could fit me in on the same day because my left eye had some issues that require some immediate medical attention. I had a follow-up appointment with him a few days later & the meds he prescribed worked, so I would say he's on top of his game as a professional. The star rating is based on the wait time & the overall experience. Everything else was pretty good and professional. Overall, I would recommend this practice.
I had a great experience at the Rocky River location. Dr. Hamp was very nice, took his time with my exam, went over his findings in detail, and made great suggestions that I actually agreed with. He's very knowledgeable, but down to earth. He even asked questions about myself and took time to get to know me which honestly he didn't have to do, but I'm glad he did. There was just a true genuineness about him. After my exam, I met with Mrs. Becky who helped me pick my frames. She went over pricing, my insurance coverage, added on coverage that was apart of my plan that I didn't even know I had. She let me know the time line and next steps. She remembered my name and told me bye after I checked out with the receptionist and was walking out. To some this may not seem like much, but it's the little things that make a big difference. I highly recommend this location and will absolutely be back for all of my eye needs! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff!
Dr Demario gave me the best examination I have ever had. She even looked under my eyelids. Spent more time with me than any eye doctor ever has. I'll definitely be seeing her again.
