I'm very disappointed with the level of service at the Eye Care Center in Edenton. Every time I call the office, I'm placed on hold for an excessive amount of time, which makes even the simplest question or request frustrating. Scheduling an appointment is just as challenging, as availability is always booked far out, making it extremely difficult to be seen within a reasonable timeframe. Even when I do secure an appointment, the experience doesn't improve. I expect an appointment time to be honored, yet I routinely end up waiting 40 minutes or more past my scheduled time. It's especially inconvenient having a child in school who requires school notes and ends up missing more class time than necessary simply because the office is unable to stay on schedule. It's even more discouraging to watch patients who arrive after us be taken back first with no explanation. It reflects a clear lack of organization and efficient patient flow. Overall, the long hold times, delayed scheduling, and consistently extended in-office waits create an experience far below acceptable standards. The practice truly needs to streamline its operations and place a higher priority on respecting patients' time--especially families balancing school, work, and other responsibilities.

Called 4-15-2025 for an appointment for my 88 year old father's eyes, to check for new glasses..... The woman had the nerve to tell me the 1st available appointment was FEBRUARY 2026! TYPICAL medical profession in Edenton, gets paid alot to see no one!!!!!!

Dr. Benkusky is outstanding and most knowledgeable. He has the latest state-of-the-art equipment and excellent professional staff. We are fortunate to this high quality and exceptional service in Edenton. He is the very best!
