We absolutely love Dr. Aldrich! She cares for all of my children, myself, and my husband, and we recommend her to everyone we know. She is incredibly helpful with scheduling and always makes time for us as soon as we need it. She's friendly, patient, and absolutely amazing with kids. Edited to add that because my family usually has a wait for our exam and getting glasses, it is evident that this store is understaffed/overbooked, but the staff appears to do the best they can with this issue.

I will be filing a complaint with the State Board on Dr. Marissa Aldrich for inadequate care among other complaints!!! Worst Eye care place in Elizabeth City! Very poorly managed and Marissa Aldrich is the worst optometrist, she has a terrible attitude and can't be trusted to put her patient first!! I am actively being treated for melanoma. Dr. Aldrich was made aware of it. After my exam I had a couple of questions in regards to what would be the first signs/symptoms of melanoma in the eye. I also wanted to know why it would take 6-8 weeks to receive my eyeglasses. Because I had the audacity to speak out about the 40 minute wait to be fitted for glasses , Dr. Aldrich chose not to speak to me. It's not about your ego doctor , it's about your patient's health and you should loose your license because you are not putting your patients first!!!

Im giving this review , bc my eye exam went great etc. However, there are some things that need to be address at this location( they're informed). Nothing alarming.The Management was excellent at resolving my dilemma Overall yes I would highly recommend them. We always have to remember no matter what to provide service with a smile . Every customer is a individual priority! Definitely recommend this location!!!!

I purchased lenses in Dec 25, waited for 3 - 4 weeks. The left eye was blurry and the glass were sent to be corrected. Three weeks later I went back to pick up my glasses and again the same issue. I had to wait 3 weeks meanwhile I was overcharged and due a refund. It's been 2 calls and over a month later and the refund amount is less due to a warranty placed on the lenses not agreed upon by me. I will be taking my business elsewhere next year. Dissatisfied is a understatement Eyecare Center, 1813 W. Ehringhaus St. Elizabeth City NC 27909 get your act together.

When you get an appointment at 9:30am, don't plan on it, always plan on waiting 3 to 4 hrs, because you never get taken on time. Never again, second time I am waiting way to long. There is people here waiting 4 or more hours. Always over book every one.

I have been a patient at the OBOptix location in Kitty Hawk for 6 years before they were taken over by eyecarecenter. They were great until eyecarecenter took over. Now, I can't get in touch with my doctor because they are closed for renovations and the only option is for me to drive 2.5 hours each way to be seen in Elizabeth City. I'm calling with an eye emergency and can't see but am expected to drive 2.5 hours each way to be seen by a doctor instead of them just calling in the prescription in my chart until I could be seen by my doctor. My chart explicitly says to call in the prescription if I call. I've had this eye problem for 20 years and I know how to deal with it but it requires a steroid until I can be seen by the doctor. This office would not make any attempt to contact my doctor to see if they could simply call in a prescription refill.
