Visionary Eye Care

As a recent transplant to EC, it's incredibly difficult to find a new provider that is skilled and efficient. Dr. Tam and the team at Visionary are just that. Thy had appointments available quickly, which is a huge plus to me. My husband and I came in for eye exams and new glasses, and every single interaction with the team was positive. They have beautiful, trendy frames- so much so that I had trouble making a decision. The glasses came just a week later. I am happy to have found such a great place to trust with my eyes.

I have been coming to Visionary Eye Care for almost 4 years and I am always impressed by the customer service and frame selection. I wear glasses and contacts and Dr. Nguyen gets my prescription perfect every year. I was greeted immediately upon my arrival by their sweet receptionist, she is very knowledgeable about insurance and assisted me with determining my copay amounts. After checking in, the technician took me into an exam room to do a few tests. The technician was very calm and understanding, making sure to document all of my vision concerns. Dr. Nguyen is always awesome and was very informative when explaining the recommended procedures and treatment. The lady that helped me with my glasses was amazing! I have been getting the Eco frames for a few years now and I love that they come with a polarized sunglasses clip. I feel like I can get one pair of glasses that does everything for me, which is great because I am on a tight budget. The optician showed me all of the new Eco frames and it was so hard to decide. They have so many styles and fun colors that are perfect for spring. I went with the Brook frame, but I will definitely be returning in the near future to get my hands on a more colorful frame. I want my eyes examined but it is important to me that I am aware of my conditions and what's going on with my eyes. Visionary Eye Care is the only place I have gone to that has been so informative and educational. Thank you Dr. Nguyen and your incredible team for all of your help! This is the best optometrist office in Elizabeth City, hands down!

Visionary Eye Care is a wonderful optometry office! Their team may be small, but they are mighty--providing attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere. They offer a great selection of frames, and I was impressed with the quality of care I received. Dr. Nguyen is highly professional, delivering efficient and straightforward service that made the process smooth and stress-free. Special shout-out to Makayla for her outstanding customer service--she truly went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable!

First time visiting, and my first time getting glasses. From the time I checked in, until the time I walked out the door I was treated like I was appreciated and valued. They almost felt like friends! That's how nice they all were to me! Ben (very) patiently helped me choose my frames! I can't even tell you how many pair I tried on, retried on... went back to look at more lol! But he was kind and patient , and I never felt like was annoying him, and he never rushed me! He was polite, kind and thorough. Dr Nguyen was very friendly, very professional, and was extremely skilled and knowledgeable about his craft! So many new updates in technology. He took his time, was very thorough and explained everything . Dr Nguyen took his time and assessed every possible area of my eyes and vision and I felt he really cared about my eye health. The girls in the front were kind, also knowledgeable and polite. They made me feel valued and appreciated, and never rushed. Overall I give my experience here a 10/10!

Just an absolutely fantastic visit. The office staff were very pleasant and friendly and let me know what to expect. They surpassed my expectations. I have never had such a thorough eye exam. Dr Nguyen was kind and informative. Explaining everything before starting the exam and continued throughout the visit. The office optician assisted with frames and helped me choose a style that was just right. I can't wait for my glasses to arrive. I already have my exam scheduled for next year.

Highly recommend! Quickly got an appointment for my preteen daughter after a referral from her primary, they took their time to make both her and I comfortable, quick but thorough exam, didn't rush her decision on picking out frames, and very happy with the cost & warranty! And less then 1 week for glasses to arrive, couldn't be more pleased.

Excellent experience. Everyone is so professional and kind. Charde was amazing! Everyone treats you so well especially the Dr. My glasses came back really fast. Will definitely continue coming to visionary eye care.
