Carolina Vision Center Elizabethtown

I am leaving this review to share an experience involving a staff interaction, not to criticize the business as a whole. I recently contacted Professional Eye Care in Elizabethtown to confirm whether my minor child attended an eye appointment that I personally scheduled. I retain parental rights. During the call, the representative, Veronica immediately stated that she could not provide any information due to HIPAA. However, she did not ask for my name, my relationship to the child, nor attempt to verify my identity or direct me through appropriate privacy or supervisory channels. While HIPAA compliance is important, so is proper procedure. Dismissing a parent's inquiry without verification, explanation, or referral to a privacy officer reflects a lack of professional handling and understanding of how HIPAA is applied. This review is meant as a reminder that staff interactions matter. How employees communicate--especially in sensitive situations involving children--can significantly affect how current and potential clients perceive the practice and, by extension, its ownership. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and used for staff training and improvement.

I love my doctor, Dr. Huggins, sweet, patient, and caring. I will keep him. The rest is the worst I've experienced in a long time. I have been chasing these folks for 2 months to get my glasses, visiting the Elizabethtown office severally, I even sent my husband to check for me. Called the Clinton office severally, to be put on hold and told we will call you back. Now, the glasses are in Benson, I pray I receive them before my prescription expires.

3:50 appt, we show up 10 minutes early, got seen with in 5 minutes for exam. Waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes for to been seen for glasses. One person doing glasses and insurance work with two in front of us and 2 others waiting behind me. Do better. This is the second time I have waited for over an hour for the same issue.

Left a message 3 working days ago, about needing an appointment, no one has called me back, customer service is a think of the past

Had appointment with Dr Masters today for yearly checkup. Needed a new prescription for bifocals. Dr Masters is wonderful. She explains everything to you, seems genuinely concerned about what is going on with you & does not rush the appointment like some other doctors do. This is my 2nd year seeing her & I would definitely recommend her & her staff to anyone! They give excellent care!

On visit # 2, as visit #1's prescription was wrong. Told them when I picked them up that they weren't right. Was told i needed to adjust to them and sent me home with them anyway. They were worse than my actual vision. Took a month to get back in for this visit. Then had an appointment they're 90 minutes late getting me back there for. This time I pray they're right. Have to update yall in a few weeks.

Everyone was exceptionally kind. No one pushed upcharges on us. Great glasses prices. I look forward to making this our permanent eye doctor.

Extremely clean, professional, and efficient. I went in for an eye exam and contact fitting and my final bill was cheaper than anywhere else in the area. Staff were very nice and the doctor was informative. I have recommended Carolina Vision to my family and friends. Overall 10/10 satisfaction.
