Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Shapiro Eye Care - Greensboro

I have been going to Shapiro Eye Care for several years now. I had an examination today. Dr.Shapiro does excellent work and he is a U.S. Air Force veteran. His staff is the best. These health care professionals take care of your eye care needs while treating you like their next door neighbor. I highly recommend giving this organization a try whatever your eye care needs happen to be. I have already booked my annual appointment for next year!

Every since I have been going to Shapiro eye care. I have received the best care from Dr.Shapiro and his staff. I have got my family and friends going to him also. And they love going there too. I had my first eye surgery last Wednesday and I'm going on the 14th and have my left eye done. Great job done.

I enjoyed my experience with Dr Shapiro!! The staff was very professional, organized, and very thorough. I enjoyed their service. Everything was explained to me from pre-op, lasik, to post-op. I financed my surgery through the Care Credit program and had no problems what-so-ever. I would like to share the fact that Dr Shapiro is very experienced with what he does and carries confidence. Everything was so smooth that I am in shock that everything worked out so well and so quickly. The procedure lasted literally 10 minutes for me. I love my new eyes and am honored to say that it is life change that I am enjoying. I would definitely do it again!!

I have been to many eye doctors, but I believe this office provides the most friendly and competent care. The staff is so nice..at other eye doctors I have had problems with my glasses prescription because I have a very strong prescription. At Shapiro Eye Care they always spend a lot of time with me and make sure the prescription is correct. Friends of mine have had LASIK here and some have had cataract surgery. They all have been very happy.

Dr Shapiro is awesome, staff is lovely. They are a well rounded facility. I had lasix done and the care I received was beyond 5 star. I tell people every day to go to Shapiro for not only eye care but lasix. I love waking up with clear vision. So thankful for Dr Shapiro and his wonderful staff!!!

I was hesitate at first to undergo a surgery that is not considered "necessary." However, it has been the best medical decision I have ever made. I could not have picked a better ophthalmologists, Dr. Shapiro and his staff were the perfect choice. They have all been very helpful from pre to post-opt. I was fully informed of all the necessary information before I made my decision to move forward with the surgery. Shapiro Eye Care has a state of the art facility, I was very impressed. I could not be happier with my decision! If you are contemplating Lasik surgery you owe it to yourself to speak with Shapiro Eye Care to learn your options, you will not be disappointed!

Had an appointment for 3:40pm yesterday. Called at 3:11pm to let them know that I would be arriving later than the 3:40pm appointment time, maybe more like 4:00pm and to see if I needed to reschedule. The lady I spoke with on the phone said it would be ok because there was a 30 minute grace period. I left another county over to make the appointment thinking I was going to be seen. When I get there at 4:03pm, I attempted to check in. The receptionist looks in the computer just to tell me that I couldn't be seen. When I asked why, she states I was outside of the 15 minute window. I stated that I had called before leaving and the lady I spoke with said I had a 30 minute grace period so I would be ok. I showed her my phone where I called and stated to her the time being 4:04pm at that moment which was only 23 minutes within the 30 minute grace period that I was told I had. She insist w/o even talking to the Dr at first that I couldn't be seen and that there was a 15 minute window. I told her I specifically drove over 30 minutes for the appointment in which the person I spoke with said I would be ok and she didn't say a 15 minute window but a 30 minute window instead. She goes back to talk to the (I assume) Dr or someone in the back just to come back to tell me that I wouldn't be seen that day. Not once did she even offer to reschedule. When I looked at my phone, it was 4:09pm as I was leaving. I was totally disappointed in the customer service from them. I've had my lasik done here years ago, continued eye exams after, and needless to say they just lost me as a client going forward. Very poor way of handling this.

I was very disappointed with my lasik surgery. I had my right eye retouched 2 times because he missed it each time. Not surprisingly 2 years later my vision got blurry overnight. I made an appointment for a blurred vision issue only for them to inform me that I now need glasses! Don't waste 4 grand to wear your beloved contacts 2 years later.
