The Doctor performed the vision exam, was thorough and things were great, until they were not. Several weeks later we received a surprise bill that even with some of the best private insurance on the market, we owed another $75 surprise bill. All total our bill was $495. Upon speaking with Renee, she informed me that they were billing a hospital/surgeon rate because they are one of the only children's vision doctors and can get by with it. BEWARE if you have private insurance, you will get a large bill later.

Dr. Patel and her staff are amazing people. Billing, customer care, exams, surgery, and everything in between has been very good for my son. We look forward to his continued care in their capable hands. Dr. Patel is one of a kind. Dealing with a child's eye issues is stressful as a parent, but her knowledge, skill, and incredible connection with people helped calm my nerves and made the process stress-free for my son. If you're like me, you want the best for your child. Look no further. Dr. Patel and her staff are it. Thank you again.

Dr. Patel and her staff go above and beyond to help you. The whole process is smooth. We were new to Greensboro last year and Dr. Patel was kind and explained everything and put is at ease with a new doctor. She also recommended pediatricians, area churches and schools. Renee goes above and beyond to help also. She does way more than coordinate surgeries!! Just moved to Rutherfordton and she helped us find a doctor closer to us. She didn't have to but she did and it was much appreciated! Really hate to leave this group and move somewhere else!

Dr. Patel and her staff are wonderful. My son is autistic and nonverbal so doctor visits can be a challenge, especially with eye drops and dilation. Dr. Patel was fantastic with him! He did the best with her of most doctors he's seen over the years. I cannot thank Dr. Patel and her team enough for making it such a low stress visit for him and especially us! Thank you so much!

Dr. Patel and her staff are fabulous and genuinely care about helping their patients. She always made sure my son was settled and playing during appointments before speaking to me and relaying information, which put me at ease as a Mom. Dr. Patel took time to get to know my son and our family, rather than rushing us out the door. She even squeezed us in post surgery for an appointment on her day off! There was never a time that I didn't feel confident my son was receiving the best care possible. Not only is she knowledgeable and professional, she is also personable and relatable. Dr. Patel is the best of the best!

This is a great office, and Dr. Patel and her staff are helpful and kind. I'm dealing with adult strabismus, and she's provided very thorough exams of my eyes and she's answered all my questions with expertise and honesty. Her staff has also helped me with the process of handling referrals and appointments. Renee especially is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Grace Patel is wonderful!! She is so kind and caring and does her job well! She keeps to her schedule, we have not ever had to wait past our scheduled appointment time. My son has to see many doctors and I wish all were as kind and caring and efficient as Dr. Patel.

Our Son was seen by Dr. Patel for an involuntary movement bilaterally (Nystagmus) at 16 months old. I have a long standing history of working in Ophthalmology with adults but never children---even knowing what I know, I was terrified of what could be. Dr. Grace and her staff made the process very easy and truly put me at ease as his Mother. An MRI of his brain and orbits was ordered to rule out anything abnormal in the brain or surrounding structures--all came back within normal limits and Dr. Grace was calling within hours of us finishing to give us the results! As most know, sedation is required for little ones in order to ensure they are perfectly still during scanning--this is the first time he has been sedated and I was shaking in my boots!...That call to know all was normal, was everything we needed. Renee and all front office/technician visits were very professional and courteous. The office is very clean and to ensure the safety and privacy of all patients, they have a streamlined process in place to call when you arrive, and you're back to the car momentarily just long enough to dilate. Truly, I think we were in and out in just over an hour and take it from me, in any Ophthalmology practice...thats amazing. We were well informed but still out in enough time before the baby lost his cool...patience runs thin in little ones! We plan to continue care with Dr. Grace and look forward to future visits.
