I have to share a very positive experience today. I have had pink eye that just won't go away coupled with a trip to Costa Rica tomorrow. I called Greensboro Ophthalmology in the morning on the oft chance I could be seen. The office manager called back right away and I was seen within the hour. Unbelievable!! They thoroughly checked my eyes and took great history. Dr. Gould is a wealth of knowledge and willing to share it. So kind and sweet. Consequently my fears were relieved and appropriate medication prescribed. I love this practice and feel at ease here. The desk was so courteous and helpful. Dr. Bowen is my main doctor with the practice and he is just as thorough and knowledgeable. It is so nice to be affiliated with this practice and I want to thank them for taking care of my eyes. Keep up the good work and know you are appreciated and doing amazing work!!

Maybe they have good doctors, but this office is CUT THROAT. A couple of years ago I had an ulcer and was potentially losing my sight, the bed side manor of the doctor (tall blonde lady) was absolutely dry and borderline rude, I never said anything because I did get treatment and didn't lose my eye from the ulcer. But today I call because I'm experiencing similar symptoms that lead to my ulcer last time, so I call to make an appointment, in which they tell me I can't come back because of a past due bill, I'm a turned over patient. The bill in question is a $300 bill I could never pay because of some employment struggles I've been facing for the past few years, there's been times I thought I could be homeless........and so yes I chose food over a medical bill.....sue me. The woman on the phone was nice, checked with billing. However she said they were firm, even if I paid the bill I likely wouldn't be allowed to return. That is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. I don't care about what your policies say, if you are able to provide care and a longstanding patient needs help, you suck up a $300 bill and you help them......it's just gross. And sad, I really wanted to like this office. To the woman on the phone, you were lovely. But to the people running this office, I don't care what you have to say, I don't care what you think, this isn't up for discussion.....it's simple. People over profits, the proper care should be accessible for all people no matter their financial status. Im ashamed of you guys, truly. But I guess whatever right? I don't get the care I need, my life could be forever altered, and it's all my fault.......cause $300.....get so real.

Today I saw Dr Lyles for the first time. So grateful for him. His calming presence and easygoing personality was so refreshing as I am very queasy with anything to do with eyes. He made me feel very comfortable and explained a lot to me. It was possible I was going to need a procedure that petrified me. We talked about it and we are going to monitor me instead as he felt I did not necessarily need the procedure at this time. I have to say, as afraid of this procedure as I was, after meeting him I knew that I would still be afraid but I would be able to do it if he was going to do the procedure on me. A calming demeanor goes a long way with folks like us that are afraid. Thank you so very much Dr Lyles for your professional knowledge, advice and great personality. See you next year!!

It was my first visit to this eye clinic, and I was really impressed! Dr. Tanner was very kind and took the time to carefully examine my eyes. Spencer, the assistant, was also incredibly friendly and made me feel so comfortable throughout the visit. Thanks to both of them, I didn't feel nervous at all and had a great experience. Highly recommend this clinic!

I scheduled this appointment about three weeks ago and had the day circled because it was supposed to be the start of addressing an ongoing eye issue I have been dealing with. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly working on December 26, 2025. I am a social worker and ended up transporting a child, which caused a delay. I believed my appointment was at 1:00 PM, and once I realized I would be about 30 minutes late, I called to explain the situation and ask if I could still come. The woman I spoke with told me the appointment would only be held for 15 minutes and that I would be charged a 50 dollar no show fee. I asked if I could still come anyway and explained it was last minute but unavoidable. She said no and stated the fee would apply. She then mentioned that my actual appointment time was 1:15 PM, but since I was a new patient, they asked me to arrive at 1:00 PM. I explained that if the appointment time was 1:15 and I was asking to arrive by 1:30 at the latest, it did not make sense to charge a no show fee since I was not 15 minutes late to the actual appointment time. She told me that was incorrect because new patients are required to arrive 15 minutes early. I tried to explain how unreasonable that sounded. What is the purpose of an appointment time if you are expected to arrive earlier and then charged a fee based on that earlier time instead of the scheduled appointment time. She stated she spoke with a colleague or supervisor and said I could cancel the appointment, but if I wanted to reschedule, I would still have to pay the 50 dollar fee. I found this very insulting and illogical. The entire interaction felt rigid and dismissive, and the woman was rude throughout the conversation. I chose not to reschedule and ended the call. Overall, this was a very frustrating and unreasonable experience. Worst experience I have had with a medical office.

Was referred here by Urgent Care due to my husband had an ulcer on his eye. We were to see the Ophthalmologist on call. Arrived, filled out paperwork, seated, called back were the assistant charted and look into his eye, seated again in the waiting room, called back again and left seating in a room listening to the doctor going to the room beside us more than once. Very very poor service. So in short of you are referred here for an on call Ophthalmologist don't waste your time coming here.

I had a small skin tag on my eyelid and the local optometrist told me I'd need an ophthalmologist to cut it off since it was on the edge of my upper eyelid. I knew it was nothing critical, so just wanted to pay cash to have it cut off, no big deal. I made an appointment for a consultation with Greensboro Ophthalmology, but life got busy and I missed the appointment. I still wanted the bump gone, so once life slowed down again, I called them back to reschedule only to be scolded by the appointment girl for missing the previous appointment. I was surprised by how offended she sounded, so I offered her my credit card since she seemed so concerned about the penalty payment for my missed consultation appointment. She refused my credit card info. but it simultaneously seemed to further upset her.?. I then asked how much the consultation would be so I'd be prepared and she again got flustered and put me on hold for a while. She finally came back and said she couldn't tell me how much a direct pay consultation would be, that I should bring at least $125. I was shocked at her answer. No idea? Not even a shot in the dark for an in & out conversation months down the road? I mean, you do this daily, correct? I can't be the first person to want to pay cash for a consultation. Obviously, I sought an alternate provider (a local cosmetic surgeon that did the procedure 3 days after my initial call for $350 = DONE) after being scolded by Greensboro Ophthalmology because I refuse to PAY to be treated like that - No Thanks. Your employee let her concern for your dime hold up your dollar.

Every member of the team who treated me was wonderful: Kellee, Ashley and Kajsa. And the reception staff was friendly and polite. And of course Dr. Bowen is a terrific physician!!
