Best Eye Dr around! We took our daughter in today for a visit and they were the best (by far) that we have been to so far. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff and doctor were very thorough and patient with our daughter and for that were are very pleased. They will definitely be our regular from now on. You guys are awesome!
I had a very good experience at your office today. My technician Sevde is very polite, professional and explains every procedure to be done. Denise explained the benefits I have with my insurance, but for now I preferred to purchase online. Dr. Beck explained the images taken of the back of each eye and I don't have to worry about cataracts or glaucoma for now. Overall my experience was amazing. God bless all.
My first appointment and it was awesome! I was not excited about having to find a new eye doc when we moved to Greensboro but Dr. Tubolina is absolutely fabulous and I am ecstatic to have found my new vision care! Emma, the tech who handled the pre-exam process is terrific and I am so grateful for Madison, the optician tasked with helping me find new frames. I told her, "I am troublesome but appreciative!" and she was so kind, so thoughtful in guiding me so that I could make my perfect choice! My sincere thanks to all of you!
My first time with MyEyeDr and it won't be my last. Very hightech with their services. The show stopper for me was when the Dr. Operated the eye machine from another location. Really a great experience. Special thanks to Denise she was absolutely awesome.
My experience from start to finish was superb! Emma was my tech, and she St the stage for this amazing first visit. Dr. Tubolina showed extreme care for my concerns. Madison was my optician, and I'm looking forward to working with her. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and courtesy extended to me during my visit! I've found my new vision home!
I was a bit skeptical when I was informed there would be a tele-visit with an optician to do the in room eye test followed by a tele visit with the eye doctor. I must say the experience was just fine. I had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with both of them as if they were actually there. There was also a Tech named Autum who performed the pre-tests that stayed in the room with me while I was on the tele-visits. She made sure the equipment was in place while I was speaking with both tele-visit providers. The Eyewear specialists there were very helpful in my selection of glasses to suit my style. My specialist was Becky. I had an incentive offered by my insurance that she didn't get to put in initially. She quickly updated the system used for payment and made sure it was applied.
Extremely Frustrating Experience -- Bait-and-Switch Pricing and No Accountability
I'm writing this after multiple visits and a lot of patience, and unfortunately my experience has only gotten worse over time.
My first visit was around November 2024. It was easy to get a same-day appointment and the exam was virtual. At the end, I was told I could get the exam plus a pair of glasses for a low, clearly stated price (around $175) as long as I chose from the color-coded frames. After picking frames, I was then told at checkout that the price was actually over $200 due to an additional exam fee that was never mentioned up front. I was frustrated but reluctantly agreed.
Fast forward about a year later. Before ordering lenses online, I wanted my prescription rechecked. This time the exam was in person, the optometrist was very nice, and once again I was told I could leave with glasses and the exam for $175. I spent about 20 minutes choosing frames, only to be told again at checkout that the price was actually $250+ after the manager was called over.
At that point, I said no. I told the sales rep very clearly that if I had been quoted the correct price initially, I would have purchased the glasses -- but quoting one price and changing it later is a classic bait-and-switch.
I ordered glasses online instead. When they arrived, the prescription was wrong. I checked my older glasses and realized they also weren't correct. My daughter's prescription was noticeably better than mine, which prompted me to call and schedule another visit.
At this most recent appointment, the optometrist again was kind and apologetic. She worked with me using test lenses and confirmed the prescription needed to be corrected. She told me the exam would be free and said she needed to check with the manager regarding what to do about the incorrect glasses I had already paid for elsewhere.
After waiting another 10 minutes, the manager came out and told me that whoever made my glasses should replace the lenses for free. That's not realistic -- most companies don't replace lenses unless they made the mistake.
I calmly asked if the office would be willing to help by replacing the lenses in my frames. She said no. I asked directly if she was saying that despite an incorrect prescription, they were unwilling to help make it right. She didn't respond.
Her only solution was that if I bought frames and lenses there, they would make them -- which completely ignores why I stopped buying glasses there in the first place.
I even explained that I own a healthcare business and teach healthcare sales, and that this experience would cost them a customer. She showed no concern, offered no apology, and took no responsibility.
To be clear: the optometrists themselves were pleasant. The customer service and management were not. The manager appeared to have no authority -- or willingness -- to resolve mistakes or take ownership.
If you come here, be very careful with pricing. Get everything in writing before you spend time selecting frames. And if something goes wrong, don't expect them to stand behind their work.
I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this office to others.
Great professional staff, latest eye exam equipment. Had VSP vision plan, prices were reasonable. The best service that I've had in over 40 years.
