Avoid TLC. The company will not honor the "Lifetime Commitment" I paid extra for in 2008. Each office will say"we only offer honor it if you used our doctor." I have all my original paperwork. I just got off the phone with corporate TLC, they found my records but said, "that location in SC closed so you will have to visit another location as a new patient." Clearly, from original documents, there is no such caveat. If you use any service under the TLC corporate franchise model, their 'Commitment" is only for that location. One closes, moves...you will not get what you paid for! Of course, they will gladly take you as a new patient at another location who will charge a full rate MUCH higher than your original procedure!! Buyer beware. That is some shady bait-and-switch stuff right there folks. I will share details with anyone interested. Update 10/10/23: TLC review response is as I suggested. No corporate warranty, as purchased. The documents are all here. Their 'solution' is to pay them to become a 'new' patient -or- try and find/track down the person/doctor who performed a procedure 15 years ago to ask if he will honor the corporate warranty...wherever he may be! Like I said, Caveat emptor!!

I've had nothing but problems with my eyes ever since I got the procedure done in 2017... I now suffer from dry eyes and have chronic inflammation from the procuredure. I have to go for checks up with my eye doctor every 3 months just to make sure it's stable. My vision still isn't 20/20 After the surgery. During the procedure I was uncomfortable and the doctor was too busy talking about football with his staff members during my procedure. I would never recommend LASIK to anyone in the first place, but most definitely not this place...

I had my LASIK operation back in March of 2020 just prior to COVID and, even going on 5 years later, it was one of the best decisions I've made. I paid $4k at the time for both eyes and looking back now it's amazing how such a massive increase in quality of life can be so relatively cheap. From a prescription of -6 bilaterally to now being 20/10 in my left eye and 20/15 in my right eye all without having to worry about keeping up with glasses or the constant purchasing of contact lenses. I can't recommend Dr. Stonecipher enough. Now stop reading reviews and go schedule a consultation.

BUYER BEWARE: The $4,890 eye surgery price is RETAIL PRICE, I asked for and got a $1,000 discount. The required prescriptions for eye surgery is $500 EXTRA. The prescriptions will need doctors authorization that may or may not be paid by your insurance. TLC does not recommend generics, only after if there is an issue with the price.

Pros: Surgery went well; I see 20/20. Cons: The 1-week and 1-month post-op appointments are virtual/phone calls that consist of one question: "How are your eyes?" My regular eye doctor was shocked by the lack of post-op care but also pleased with the final results. TLC/Dr. Stonecipher came highly recommended, and I don't regret my decision, but I would have appreciated better communication and post-op care. For transparency, I had the $1,000 off special, and paid ~$4,000.

I came here for a LASIK consultation with very little research. I was very happy to hear that Dr Stonecipher teaches classes all over the world, and I have met multiple people including my optometrist who had LASIK done by him. I couldn't be happier with my results after my surgery. I have 20/15 vision now! I was very nervous about the whole thing but the staff was very kind and patient with me. The day of surgery was very quick which was good because it didn't give me time to stress. I had a wonderful experience with the office!

The professionalism in this office of both the staff and the doctors really impressed me! Normally, when you go to the doctor - any doctor - you wait and wait because they are always behind schedule. I walked in the door, was taken straight back and the entire process was started immediately. Everyone was happy, smiling, and extremely kind. I was having Lasik done, so was a little nervous. However, the energy in the office, alleviated a lot of that nervousness. The doctors were amazing - real people with personalities and talent. I had no pain after my procedure and waking up later that evening and being able to see clearly across the room for the first time in longer than I can remember was such a great feeling! The post op was done quickly the following morning and again, everyone was all smiles :-) I will definitely spread the word about my experience and recommend TLC to anyone who will listen!

UPDATED 09/2/24- I work a state job.. THIS place still never reached out to me.. they talk about finance options.. it's all BS.. takes them 5 seconds to confirm or deny you..work in law enforcement, make around 3,000-4,000$ a month typically, sometimes a little bit higher. And I could afford monthly payments.. however it says that they have finacial specialist.. and since this is a private eye center they don't take insurance and get that.. however with financial specialist, me not even having the opportunity to talk to someone about payment methods.. within 15 seconds of going carecredit.. I get denied, as well as another officer I work with was denied as well. My issue is.. you supposedly have financial specialist who work with people on payment methods.. however you can determine through care credit within 15 seconds who's eligible... Seems a bit ridiculous. UPDATE on 10/1/23: other thing as well.. the owner posted a response a number of months ago stating they would contact me soon.. here we are, and still nobody has reached out to me about these issues unreliable
