Accuvision Eye Care OD, PA

Dr. Woo walks into the exam room IMMEDIATELY hostile and aggressive. She speaks to you as if you are unintelligent/incompetent. I have NEVER experienced anything like this before and have worked in the medical field for years. Dr.Woo is rude, degrading, aggressive and unprofessional. The other staff members (sky and dennis i believe) are so sweet and its a shame they have to be around that hostile environment everyday. She significantly increased my prescription and i did ask her if it was possible to cause migraines because i am a chronic migraine sufferer , she said "well you came in here saying you cant see so im making it so that you would have 20/20 vision but ill lower your perscription because im not going to be liable for your migraines" . I was just confused because she PROCEEDED to make a few additional aggressive comments about "liability" etc. leading me to believe she has probably been a liability , but im not one to assume.. The biggest thing was the degrading as soon as she came in the room asked about my contacts and i explained ive been a contact wearer for 20 years and she asked if i throw them away every two weeks and i was honest and said "well sometimes i do not because they are expensive and i do not wear them everyday" (i know this is what not to do but i WAS honest with "my doctor" whom i should feel comfortable with) , Dr.Woo turned toward me from the computer so quickly and said "so im not giving you contacts today then , YOU are the reason why your vision/eyesight is messed up , they are 2 week lens so what do you think that means??" . The tone of voice and aggression took me back i was speechless for a moment.. she then said "soo if you have been wearing contacts since you were younger you would think you should know better" .. once again speechless.. i should have just left but i was in shock and trying to wrap my head around what was happening/happened. I told the front desk that the doctor was rude and they apologized sympathetically. I spoke with a supervisor who was extremely kind and helpful regarding the matter . I hope they do something because having her as the face/doctor representing them is going to cause them to lose business/give a bad name for them.

I had an eye appointment at Accuvision in Hickory on Oct. 13th with Dr. Woo. After reading all of the horrible reviews of this place I just knew I was walking into a fight just waiting to happen. However, I don't think I've had a better experience with an eye doctor. The office staff were friendly and efficient. Dr. Woo was very personable and professional. She greated me with a smile. She answered all of my questions and gave me a lot of useful information. I will definitely go back for future appointments. I will also recommend this place to others.

The front desk guy was super nice. He got me in quick and was kind. Dr. Woo wasn't great. She's rude and treated me like I was stupid for asking questions. Therefore, I didn't feel comfortable asking anymore questions, and I didn't really get the answers I wanted.

I really wish I would have read the reviews prior to my appointment on 2/10/26. Dr. Woo was extremely rude and very irritable. I have never been treated that way by a doctor before, and I've seen an ophthalmologist every year for the last 10 years. I only came here because my old office was out my network for my new insurance. I will put it to you this way I called and canceled the order that was placed and I'm paying out of pocket for a different office because I don't trust that she even got a clear reading of my eyes because of how fast she was going. She also yelled at me for not bringing my contacts prescription from the year previously with me, when I did not even have it. UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST!

Been taking my grandson here for 4 years because he has Medicaid...in September we ordered some glasses from Medicaid but I don't know if they've arrived because the store hasn't called & never picks up the phone. They don't return my calls and even Eyemart has given them messages. I'm not returning after this. I'll take my grandson elsewhere.

Had a great experience. Went in for an updated contact prescription - all office staff and Dr. Woo were very kind and efficient. Thorough exam service with helpful information. Would definitely recommend.

Very pleasant fast courteous service worked well with us. We where driving to Mooresville but now we will keep our business in Hickory. Will recommend!
