Dr. Matthews and his staff are by far the BEST doctors my children and I have ever been to for any type of appointment. They are friendly, helpful, and courteous. They worked with me to learn how to put on contacts for a VERY long time. They explain things to my children and are very patient with them. Dr. Matthews helped us discover that my son needed glasses, and now he is much happier at school. I cannot express my gratitude enough, and how much I am impressed with the way they practice the art of eye care. Prior to working with them I hated going to the eye doctor and now my whole family goes to Dr. Matthews and we enjoy the visits!

Dr. Matthews and staff provided me with a great optometric experience. The exam was thorough and the doctor took his time. I never felt rushed. While I was there I felt like the most important patient he ever had. I'm sure he makes all his clients feel that way. It was obvious that Dr. Matthews is not only competent but caring, personable and interested in his patients. I am usually nervous around medical personnel but he put me at ease immediately.

Dr. Matthews helped me for a long time with my eye exam. It was the first full eye exam I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable and very nice. He has state of the art equipment in his office and he explains everything very clearly. I now have glasses and my vision is like the difference between regular TV and HDTV! He was so helpful and I will never go anywhere else for an eye exam!

As a long time patient of Dr Matthews I've always had exemplary care. He uses his experience and kindness to addresses every concern, and double checks for the most accurate exam results. Also his office runs very efficiently, never have to wait long at all even when busy.

Our experience at this office was absolutely terrible! Not only were the office staff rude but, Dr. Matthews was as well. My children and I were treated terrible and with disrespect. My children ended requiring glasses and when they arrived, they would not give the glasses to me, even though they were paid for. Their reasoning was that the insurance did not cover the eye exam so they will not let my child have the glasses at WERE paid for in FULL by insurance!!!! I would not recommend this practice to ANYONE! The only reason I rated them with 1 star is because I couldn't rate them with a 0.

My visits to Dr. Matthews were among the best healthcare experiences of my life! I made an appointment for a routine eye exam following LASIK surgery and was completely impressed by the quality and thoroughness of Dr. Matthew's evaluation. He spent a considerable amount of time with me and explained every step of the diagnostic procedure. Since I had monovision, Dr. Matthew's prescribed glasses for nighttime driving and his friendly assistant, Teresa helped me select the perfect frames. She also handled all my billing and insurance claims. I now see him routinely for my annual follow-ups. In an era of cut-rate optometry, dispensed at large optical chains, Dr. Matthew's practice is a refreshing and professional alternative for the highest quality eye care.

Dr. Matthews is kind, caring, and very good at eye care. He has been treating our daughter for 7 years and monitoring a serious eye condition. If you want the best doctor with a great staff this is the place to go.

Dr. Matthews is the BEST! He is so patient and kind. The whole experience is so pleasant you don't mind getting your eyes examined. The absolute best part is we get to talk about New York since we're both from Long Island! Highly Recommend.
