After multiple new glasses within a year I still couldn't see well. Went to Dr. Kaufman in Salisbury. I needed cataract surgery as soon as possible. When I tried to explain w Slyman's office, they told me my eyes were changing fast. I'm thankful I went elsewhere.

Dr. Slyman is an awesome doctor and eye surgeon. However, one of his reception staff is extremely rude. My sister brought mother in for a scheduled appointment today (2/22/22) but after getting bad directions called ahead to alert the office that they would be late (and they were late by 20 minutes). This is uncommon for either of them. Walked in, signed in, and waited at reception at least 10 minutes possibly as long as 16 without so much as a word to either of them, i.e. "Have a seat, I'll be with you in a minute." Never looked up from what she was doing but she was definitely not on the phone. Mother is 83 years old and on a rolling walker since spine surgery. She was on a cane today and cannot stand very long. Facing the reception desk from the entrance, the receptionist I am referring to sits on the far right (today at least). Dr. Slyman is great but his staff is terrible. I mistakenly thought my appointment was at 10:45 a.m. I arrived at the office at approximately 10:35 a.m. I registered, provided my insurance cards, and sat down in the lobby. The receptionist called me back up to the desk and said that since I was late, they could not see me. I explained that my appointment was at 10:45, and she immediately said, "No, your appointment was at 10:25, we are already running behind, and the Technician said we cannot see you today." My being late had nothing to do with them running behind that day so that is their fault. This was a Friday morning and they close at lunch, so I am sure they wanted to hurry up and leave.

Dr. Slyman is a wonderful Doctor. He removed the cataracts in both of my eyes and was very pleasant to deal with. The staff has always been great to deal with. Highly recommend.

I had a 330pm apt and was not seen until 530pm, no warning was provided that he was 2 hours behind. This is extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional.

This is for the lady in the Eyeware Department, Kathleen!! You need to go see her for your eyeware needs. Kathleen is extremely helpful, nice, knowledgeable, & takes time with you. I hope she gets bonuses? TKs a Lot!! Sally Sides.

Dr Slyman is absolutely wonderful! He took very good care of my mother. There were a few issues with the accounting / check out process but I was able to get it worked out. I would definitely recommend Dr Slyman!
