Dr. Scott is hands down one of the kindest doctors in her field that I've ever met. She has that rare combination of being incredibly knowledgeable while also making you feel completely at ease. I never felt rushed, and every question I had was answered thoroughly and with genuine care. Her staff deserves a shoutout too -- friendly, patient, and just all-around lovely to interact with. From start to finish, the experience felt smooth, welcoming, and thoughtful. If you're looking for excellent care with a human touch, this is the office to go to. I highly recommend them!

Dr Michelle Scott is a very good eye dr. I like Dr Scott because she is very helpful and caring. and very professional. She goes over every thing with you and will help you with anything be it after hours or during regular hours.she is a great Dr. She has a great caring staff. So I would say if you are in need of an eye Dr, give her a call.

I was a patient of Dr. Scott at Costal Eye Clinic for over 3yrs. Before Dr. Scott made her exit from Costal, she told me that she was going to open her own practice. She asked me if I would like to continue being her patient. I said yes because I have a medical diagnosis and she's the specialist in New Bern for my particular case. She said her staff would reach out to me once they get settled at the new location. None of the staff reached out to me. Time went by and I'm near the end of my medication. My first Dr. at Costal who gave me an automatic refill stopped my medication abruptly. He said that he hasn't seen me in 2 yrs. Since I am a patient of Dr. Scott, I should reach out to her for the refill or make a new appointment. There was no appointments were available for 6 months. I was unable to get a refill. Since Dr. Scott opened her own practice at Easter Carolina, Glaucoma and Vision Center, it's been a headache trying to get an appointment I reach out to Dr. Scott's office several times to schedule an appointment, I was told to sign a record release form Costal. Which I did, transfer all my records. I told Dr. Scott's office the severity of my case with my medication. I called over the phone, I went there in person. I sent an email online. I was told that they did not have any appointments available until 6 months. I scheduled the appointment and I even asked to be placed on the cancellation list because of the urgency. After waiting six whole months for my appointment, I was told the day of my appointment that I need a referral from my insurance company. And I have to make another appointment. I was clearly upset because they have been sitting on my records for months with all my insurance information and personal information. None of the staff contacted me a head of time about this request. The staff member that I encountered was boisterous, rude, dismissive and poorly trained in customer service. I asked her how was I supposed to know that I needed a referral a head of time, no one contacted me and they have all my information. She said it's my job to know and that will be charged out of pocket for any services today. I didn't know that I was a mind reader and should automatically know something that I'm not privy to. It could have been dealt with a head of time if the untrained, rude staff members reached out to me and let me know a head of my six months appointment. Nothing personal against Dr. Scott however, one of her staff "the African American one,"was very unprofessional, disrespectful, loud and absolutely no professionalism or customer service at all whatsoever. She needs to be retrained. Removed from the front or go back to the back where she belongs.

I am extremely lucky to have Dr. Scott practicing in this area. Her knowledge and treatments of serious glaucoma problems have enabled me to keep my sight. Her appointments are on time, thorough, and all my questions answered. Additionally, her staff is also 5 STAR. They are always professional, kind, and collectivly, the office is run like a finely tuned clock.

Drive over an hour (one way) to see Dr. Scott and I would do it weekly if I had to. An absolute expert in her field. I 100% attribute being able to see to her quick action and knowledge in eye disease/disorders. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and wait times are almost non-existent. We are so fortunate to have Dr. Scott in little old eastern NC!

Dr Scott has been my Dr for several years. I have received excellent care. Just had 2 eye surgeries with her and wouldn't want anyone else! She's Great and so is her staff!!

Heinrichs about Dr Scott We consider ourselves fairly educated consumers of Health Care. All of our physicians are board certified and have advanced education. For Dr Scott that includes honor society and fellowship. We followed her to New Bern in 2024. Just completed our second Trabeculectomy with Express shunt and Mitomycin. This procedure is the third level for treating Glaucoma when the first two do not yield the desired outcome. The first Trabeculectomy was totally successful and this second one is well on its way for same. We admire Dr Scott's entrepreneurial spirit in opening up her own practice. She has assembled a great staff and support system. The recent procedure was scheduled for Jan 22 the day of the snow/ice storm. While we were familiar with that after spending 22 years near Buffalo NY. We knew that it was not the correct day to try the 45 + mile trip between Morehead City and New Bern. Dr Scott and the Surgical Center were ready willing and able. They both contacted us early on Jan 22. They had already set up a plan B. In this case, moving the surgery to Friday 1/31 and the post op visit to Sat Feb 1 This allowed all the patients scheduled for 1/22 to have their procedures without messing up the patients already scheduled for Jan 29. Dr Scott also has the interpersonal skills that make for a great Dr - Patient relationship. And she loves animals!

I have been a patient of Dr. Scott's for several years. She is knowledgeable and up to date on new medications, helpful finding ways to make prescribed medications affordable and understanding that each patient comes from a different financial background.
