I will never forget 27 years ago when I brought my 2 year old son to her because one of his eyes would go slightly off certain, especially when he was tired. She examined him briefly and said that she could find nothing wrong. I trusted her judgment. I brought my son back a few months later with a photo of his eye off center. Dr. High seemed irritated and said that there was nothing wrong with his eyes. She said that she would contact a someone but it would mean putting him through some uncomfortable and unnecessary tests. I felt like the worst mother . I left and took him to another eye doctor that found that he had no depth perception and that it was too late to fix it. My new doctor found the issue in less than 3 minutes. My son ,because of no depth perception, ran through a glass door when all of the other children saw it in time and stopped. He broke a window with his hand thinking that he was taking a sticker off the window and judged the distance incorrectly. He had a few more close calls until he developed crude depth perception. He has had 2 eye surgeries and is a wonderful 29 year old man today. I hope Charlotte's other patients were treated better than my sweet son.
