I took my sister with Down Syndrome in for a cataract surgery consult. The staff were all smiling and very helpful.
In particular, Dr. Robertson expertly handled her evaluation and talked directly to her. He was very knowledgeable about Down Syndrome...that always makes appointments go much more smoothly.
He also did my cataract surgeries...both eyes done in early 2021. Extremely happy with the outcome.

They have a great surgical team.I would definitely recommend anyone needing cataract surgery to them. They offer it all at their office now which is very convenient. I had two cataract surgeries performed by Dr. Robertson. Surgery on each eye done 1 month apart. My granddaughter was seen at age 8 and received eyeglasses. Each interaction was courteous and professional from start to completion. I am now a full-time patient there. My cataract surgeries are both successful. I am so grateful for Rocky Mount Eye Care. As for wait time, I didn't experience any excessive wait time. It is a doctor's office, not fast food.

The dr was wonderful and I would have gladly come back until I dealt with the Optical department. I have to come in to get try my glasses on and then send them off to be finished I am told. The manager was rude and all but one of the staff seem like they are clueless and could care less. One girl I see doing all the work with long brown hair and she seems very frustrated but is very good at her job. We are a family of 6 and none of us will ever go here again. It is very rare I post a negative review and if was not for the Dr I would have put negative stars if I could.

Love Dr. Shepard not his fault they apparently overbook. Long waits are awful that is why I now go to Dr. Mebane in Roanoke Rapids. My college daughter came in at 10:11am for a 10:30 appt & wasn't called back til nearly NOON! This is ridiculous to have to sit & wait over an hour to be seen for an exam. Like our time is not as important as theirs. My other 3 adult children have also switched to Dr. Mebane & now my middle daughter will do so as well. She gave Rocky Mt eye formerly Watson Eye one last chance & they blew it. Thanks for letting me share.
