Recently visited this office for a routine eye exam with Dr. Nicole Apple. All of the staff are very kind and helpful and Dr. Apple is friendly, professional, and communicative with her patients during the exam. The wait times are a little bit long, but understandable as the team is providing care to a number of people each day and they do not rush. I would definitely recommend this office for your routine eye exams.

Dr. Hales and the entire staff were great. Very helpful and informative during the entire visit. The front desk staff ( Nancy) kept smiling even though the computer was not working as it should. She was very polite and helpful to me. Highly recommend this office to anyone.

Friendly and helpful group of professionals at this office. He took time to understand the issues I was having with my eyes and determined the best course of action for me to follow.

You can expect a 2 hour wait at the Southern Pines location. I have waited 3=hours. The Sanford location has typically been 30 minutes or so. Recently the wait at that location has become 2 hour+. There was standing room only on Friday with 5 people standing at the checkout area, doorway and restroom areas waiting. People were leaving and returning in an hour or so or going to the office next door to grab a seat. The vast majority of patients are elderly and some have been left to wait and call when ready to be picked up. Once you have made it to the exam room you wait. Typically the doctor will spend a maximum of 15 minutes with you, usually less. Unless you ask, no info regarding your condition is offered. There is a new retina specialist coming to Sanford...NC Retina Specialists. Maybe the competition will force changes. Yes, I have an appointment in less than 2 weeks with them. To reschedule an appointment with either Sanford or Southern Pines was a.5-6 week wait. Greed?

I've been seeing Dr. Throneburg for several years now and I highly recommend him! He and his staff do a great job of being proficient and at the same time very personable! Thanks for a job well done!

The best ophthalmology service by the attentive staff and their latest equipment for all related eye needs. I'm so thankful to be going here now.

Was seen near my appointment time. All staff were courteous and helpful. Dr. Apple was seeing me for a possible infected eye and was very thorough in her examination. She saw no evidence of infection and told me to continue to flush the eye with drops I had when needed, for comfort. I would recommend her highly.

Very professional and Dr Hales very good and took his time to explain everything he was testing for. Best eye visit in years glad I switched!
