I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jason Moyer, OD at Clarity Vision in Smithfield. He saw me during an eye emergency and truly listened to my concerns. He immediately recognized that the medication I had previously been prescribed by my regular doctor was making my condition worse and prescribed the correct treatment instead. That alone meant a lot, and it made a huge difference in my recovery. I later returned for my annual exam and updated prescription, and once again had an excellent experience. Dr. Moyer is professional, knowledgeable, and efficient, yet never makes you feel rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The staff was just as wonderful--friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment I walked in. I left feeling confident, cared for, and grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Moyer and the entire Clarity Vision team.

First, I want to say that I love Dr. Stockbridge. He is very kind, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with ordering glasses through the office was extremely frustrating. On 11/17, I selected frames and paid half of the total. Within a week, I was told the lab didn't have my glasses and that a new pair had to be ordered, which would take about two weeks. After two weeks passed with no update, I called and was told my prescription had been done incorrectly and the glasses had to be sent back to the lab. I was then told they would arrive by 12/22 or the last week of December. By this point, it had already been over three weeks, so I requested a refund. I was told the glasses were "on the truck" and would be ready Monday, and that Amanda would call me between 2-4 PM. No one ever contacted me. When I called again the next day, I was told the system showed I had been called and texted, which was not true. After my refund was processed, I received a text 15 minutes later saying my order was ready for pickup, which felt very unprofessional and confusing. I also needed my PD number to order glasses elsewhere. Over the phone, I was told they don't normally write it down and I'd have to come in. When I arrived, the staff simply printed my prescription and wrote the number on it -- something that could have been done over the phone. While the staff was apologetic, the communication was poor, and the process was disorganized. Better staff training and clearer communication would go a long way.

Everyone was very professional. I was impressed with the girls behind the reception desk and those guiding me through my exam process. The doctor was EXTREMELY professional and gave me great information based on my exam results. I would recommend this site to anyone needing their services. Im looking forward to receiving my new glasses in about two weeks. Thank you, Clarity Vision, for your professionalism and courtesy.

Excellent service. Pleasurable experience Highly recommend. Office has latest technology and is very clean. Doctor was thorough and the office staff and technicians were very kind.

We took my 6yo daughter here for her annual checkup and we had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and made her experience pleasant. We are happy we don't have to travel to Raleigh to see an eye doctor for our kid.

The unorganized support staff and recurring administrative issues at the Smithfield branch of Clarity Vision are why I will likely be seeking a new eye doctor next year--which is really disheartening, because Dr. Whitacre is wonderful and has been my eye doctor for years. I had my routine eye exam on November 26th, picked out my frames, paid nearly $400 and went on my way. On December 5th, I came to pick up my glasses after being notified they were ready. The glasses I was presented with are not the glasses I had picked out. The technician expresssed they would do a reorder with the correct frames, put a rush on it, and I should hopefully have them by Tuesday. Limited apology or explanation for the error but hey, they're fixing it and rushing the order--mistakes happen. Tuesday comes around, no updates. On Friday, December 12th, I get a text message that my glasses are ready. I arrive on December 15th to pick up my glasses, they are not ready. They were not reordered until the 8th and the text message I received was an "error". I was then given an ETA of 2 to 3 weeks from ordering and was told the reorder was 12/8--which is 3 days AFTER I had previously come in and already been told they were reordered and rushed. Why not give me a courtesy call or e-mail update anywhere throughout this process? I've left work to drive from another town twice now to pick up my glasses and no one seems to know what's going on at this office. It has been an overall very confusing client experience, and I still don't have my glasses or a true estimate of when I actually will. The lack of communication, professionalism and organization with the support staff at this office need some true improvement.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Doctors are very attentive to patient care. They always explain everything about your appointment allowing the patient to ask questions and be part of the decision making for recommendations made.

I was very pleased with my appointment. I was seen right on time, I liked the selection of frames available, the doctor was able to offer suggestions on the types of correction that would work best based on my eyesight and usage habits and prices of frames were fair.
