My family and I have been going to this Wake Forest location since 2013. The entire family of 6 was seen the same day for years. We called to schedule our appointment for us 6. (2 adults and 4 teenage girls). The next day we received a call stating the optometrist doesn't want us to come in on the same day. We would need to schedule 2 family members each day for total of 3 days. Going back and forth. We have great insurance as well as paid almost $800 for the frames and contacts every year. Our family never missed an appointment nor was ever late for the appointment. I am thinking this is pure discrimination because we are a large family. I am pondering contacting an attorney. This optometrist saw us for 2 consecutive years. Why now. The last optometrist saw us 10 years and never had an issue. Those with families may want to reconsider using Myeyedr locations, especially the Wake Forest location at 12205 Capital Blvd, Wake Forest, NC

Awful, awful, awful service. Initial exam measurement was wrong. Glasses sent back with new measurement. A week later, glasses returned but the prescription was done wrong this time. Another return to the lab. Another week later, they were supposedly ready. Got there the next morning and still had to wait for the lenses to be put in. Not once did we receive notification the glasses were there. We had to call and check each time. Staff seems more interested in discussing their various medical issues than getting the job done.

ZERO STARS! Made an appointment online. The voicemail that Kim left as a appointment reminder was not friendly. Called ten minutes before expected appointment time to notify that I was running late due to a main road closure and was stuck in traffic. Elena said, thank you for the phone call, there is a ten minute window for customers that run late. I arrived three minutes past that window and was told that I would have to reschedule my appointment. All three members of my family have attended this office for years. I was told that the office manager would not make an exception. This is not the type of customer service I would expect for long term patients who have never canceled or run late for any appointments in our history with this company. Especially being that Elena said she was aware of the road closure causing problems in this area. I called the customer service line and filed a formal complaint. I was given another number for patient relations to be able to contact about this but when I called that number, it no longer exists and you are redirected to fill out a complaint form on the Contact Us link on the My Eye Doctor website. Do Not Waist Your Time with this Company! This is not how Customer Service should be!!

I'm not sure why this location has such bad reviews. I needed to be seen urgently for an issue with one of my eyes. I normally go to the Knightdale location but they were booked. However, Wake Forest was willing to get me in. Although it was a bit far, I was desperate. I absolutely loved my experience. Kim was nice and friendly. Dr Wiggins was phenomenal. She was so personable and bubbly. She made me feel very comfortable because she wasn't too formal like a lot of doctors tend to be. She seemed like she genuinely enjoyed her job and truly wanted to be there to help me. Loved her. Wonderful experience!

Made an appointment a month ago, scheduled the time off work to attend it and they canceled it because they said I didn't confirm it. I did confirm through the link they sent. Not so much as a phone call the day before to even ask? They did call but to tell me the canceled it. Family has been to all their appointments this month and last as well. No reason to cancel it. We will take our business elsewhere and will not ever return. Already made an appointment elsewhere. Pretty bad business practice. Not everyone can just take time off work for an appointment just to be canceled!!

They are very professional and, this is a very clean an comfortable office. Thanks for everything.

The first time I used this office in Nov of 2023, they were rude and unprofessional. They tried to force an additional test which I did not want. After the exam, the person helping me with my glasses, was beyond rude and inconsiderate so I left with my prescription and purchased elsewhere. The manager called me to apologize so I recently booked another appt for this weekend. I knew full well that I would be asked to pay for the additional test, which I reconciled I would do. However, on Friday a women called me up to confirm my appt. Her blunt remark was that if I did not agree to the additional test, my appt. would be cancelled. How rude, not a question as if "our doctor has determined that it would be beneficial for you to take this test" and wait for an answer, nope- its was a out and out threat to coerce me, so I cancelled. That is twice, with this office that they made me aware that it was about money, not patient care. I would suggest that this staff get trained in customer service and learn how to speak to people and not judge how much money they can squeeze out of you. This is not a good look for your entire corporation.

Great experience overall. Kim was helpful and smiling when I came in the door and made sure my glasses fit properly and worked well during pickup. AreAna did my initial testing and scan. She was very professional. Dr Angli did a full and thorough examination of my eyes. I hadn't met her before but she was very nice, ask specifically about any issues that I might be having. Overall a great experience!
