Clarkson Eyecare

I have been going to Clarkson Eyecare for years. Every visit has always been great. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The doctors take time to explain and answer questions. Picking out frames was fun, with the girls helping me decide between 20 pairs.

Dr. Melanie Ballard was one of the most thorough eye doctors I have had examine my eyes . She is incredibly patient , kind , and knowledgeable in her field . She takes time to answer questions and did not make me feel rushed like other eye doctors I've been to.

Dr. Ballard is one of the best Eye Doctors that I have ever had. She is very knowledgeable, always open to answering questions explaining them and everything she sees going on in my eyes in very understandable terms, in a very friendly manner. Her entire staff is very helpful, kind & respectful. It is extremely disappointing her office is closing. Dr. Ballard will be greatly missed here in Delaware, Ohio. Everyone of the staff are so friendly! First time taking my 8year old son to the eye doctor, and they were amazing with him! When he picked his frames, the lady said let's have a staring contest, he thought that was the greatest thing in the world! He talked about it for days! Thank you all so much!

The doctor who examined my eyes was awesome. She appeared to enjoy her job and giving me quality care. She made me feel comfortable and not rushed to finish the exam. In all my 54 years, she is my favorite and I've been wearing glasses since the age of five. On the other hand, the young lady who is supposed to show me frames appeared not to want to serve me. She told me that she didn't know anything about safety glasses and there's no one else who could help. She didn't suggest any regular frames and kept all her words short and blunt. When I went to look at sunglasses, she quickly pointed out that the glasses I picked up were Versace as if I couldn't afford them and saying "those are $300 glasses" I can't help but wonder if her tone and body language was because I am a black man or if she just wasn't raised right by her parents and treats everyone like that. The young lady who helped me last year was awesome. She had me buying frames I didn't intend to buy. I Guess that's why she got a promotion. I left out paying over 1100 bucks last year but this year less than 100 bucks and not one pair of glasses. I Left out feeling like I got robbed because I had nothing to show for my visit. Anyway, I went to another doctor with my prescription and spent over 800 bucks and I'm going to Easton this weekend to get some Versace sunglasses. Kirk Bias Jr

Technician that helped me find my new frames was extremely helpful. Went out of there way by popping out the lens of sunglasses for me to try! Dr, that I saw was so personable while doing a very thorough job. Even though I was their last appointment of the day they never made me feel like they wanted to push me out the door. Very pleased.

Would not return for a second visit. I'm I went fire the first one. The ladies in the optical department know their stuff and will make you a great pair of glasses guaranteed. That is the nicest compliment I can give. But trying to get directly to the optical department with a simple question without hitting a road block and being talked down to, questioned, spoken over and not being listened to, good luck. The rest of the staff is badly trained medically, in simple office tasks, very rude, and beyond incompetent. In my many years of being a consumer, the people who are your front line are the people who represent your business. Front, back, in-between, these girls do not know what customer service is. They don't understand that their pay checks are a direct result of customers visiting the business. I guess customers are a dime a dozen. This includes the manager off this place, so very unprofessional. If this is the team the doctor chooses to surround herself with, well there are so many other eye care places that do want my business. Happy Retirement Dr. Zehnder & staff you are sorely missed!! My family of five is finding a new place that will treat us right like you did for so many years.

Completely blown away with how professional and thorough my eye exam was! For years I was going to one that seemed so quick and I was just a number. Dr. Clarkson found existing things wrong that have been there for years. I HIGHLY recommend them. Staff was so caring and friendly as well!
