This was my first visit here, I decided I needed a change from my previous eye doctor. My exam was more extensive and felt more like a visit with my Ophthalmologist when I had my cataracts done. I was fairly impressed while it was being done, but then I put on my new glasses and couldn't believe the difference from my old glasses! Excellent care and amazing experience!
Everyone was nice and very patient informational and serves was fast....took good care of me and not to expensive
We went in there this morning with my daughter after calling and asking if they'd take her as a walk-in emergency because her doctor wanted to send her there with concerns. We got there at 10:00 a.m. until noon, where we were there for about 30 minutes there no patients going in or out (I'm assuming because it was lunch time) The receptionist comes out and apologizes and says the doctor had to leave for an emergency and that there'd be another doctor coming in at 1:00. She asked if we could come in then and I told her we could but we'd probably be a little later than that because the doctor also wanted other labs ran. She said "that's fine! Just get here as soon as you can and we'll be sure to get you right back." She apologized again and we left. We got right back in there right after 2:00 and the receptionist again informed us that she'd get us right back as soon as possible. We waited again until about 3:30
Eventually they do put us in a room at about 4:15. Now at no point has anyone looked at her eyes, and not one person even asked what was going on with her eyes. As soon as they did a quick eye test on her they said "the doctor will be in just a second" we waited again... At this point it had been over five and a half hours. I went up and asked the receptionist again this time a black haired lady who said "You were told to get here at 1:00! You did not get here at 1:00 and now you have to wait! Other patients take priority over you!" I explained to her that that was not what we were told. We were told as soon as we get back that they take us right back due to our long wait and the doctor having the emergency.
She then got incredibly cocky, rude, and outright loud. I had to walk away while she yelled back to me "Well if you dont want to listen!"
I went back into the room and I sat down for about another 10 minutes shaking, before I came out again to try to, I don't know, get her to understand why I was so frustrated so she woukd know its not her BUT she then got even angrier and said that I was the one who was yelling and laughing and pointing at an employee (now granted she said all this is soon as the nurse came out) I did point at the one receptionist (I didnt know her name) and I said "no she had told me ..." I said I did not laugh at her she said "Yes you did!" I again, calmly said "no" and she then got louder and angrier and said I was trying to talk over her! At this point I'm in tears, and NOW my voice IS raised and I am just so flabbergasted, exhausted, and frustrated so I told her I was done. We were leaving and that we'd been there five and a half hours and that we kept being told it was going to be soon, it's going to be soon, etc and THEN she told me that I was acting like that my daughter is the only patient there and that I needed to remember that everybody else took priority over her!
That's the WORST experience I've ever had in any business establishment nonetheless a doctor's office where my daughter is being sent as an emergency patient because the eye doctor could do more for her as a specialist, than sending her to the emergency room.
Again if we knew an hour after open until close we would of still been waiting I would have called around but we kept hearing she'd be seen soon.
That office often has very long wait time but this, the entire situation was just ridiculous and her incredibly rude attitude was uncalled for.
This is my first and only complaint about any buisness, but it seems almost scary they'd treat any emergency patient like this. They never asked what was wrong (I did tell them the Dr sent us over as an emergency walk in both on the phone and in person) they never laid eyes on her other than that time in the room and even then no one looked into her eyes.
Never again.
BTW the problem receptionist is Jill
I noticed she doesn't have too many fans. A little care and compassion goes a long way Jill!
Made an appointment for my child a month in advance. Showed up early to my appointment and waited in a line of people just to be told they have no idea what time we would be seen or how long we would be waiting. When I asked to reschedule for another day the receptionist responded by trying to blame me for being late when that was not the case at all. She had a horrible attitude and clearly had no idea what was going on. There's short staffed and then there is poorly staffed. This office is POORLY staffed.
I've been under Dr. Budd's care for years now, and I'd follow her anywhere. She gives the most through eye exam I've ever had, recognized minor issues other doctors have missed, referred me out to a retinal specialist when necessary, and remembers every little detail we've ever discussed, despite seeing me only once a year. She handles me paying cash, which is less expensive than paying for eye insurance. I can tell she cares a great deal about all her patients. The eyeglass staff opened on time ( I was WAY early, so saw the manager show up 11 min before 9am to unlock and turn on the lights) and was very friendly and helpful.
Gave them my insurance card before the exam and paid the charges when finished. I had a different doctors appt. the next month and my insurance company applied my full deductible to that next visit. I called Grove City Eye Associates about their bill and was told they hadn't bothered to submit their charges to my insurance company because my deductible hadn't been met. I asked how it was supposed to be met if medical providers don't submit their bill? They said it was too late because they could only bill insurance on the date of service. I asked to speak with the manager. She was supposed to call me. That was over two weeks ago. I am out the full amount for their exam and the full amount for my deductible for the next service.
Thank you Dr. Middlesworth and all of the staff at Grove City Eye Associates! It is always quick, easy, and convenient when my family and I come in for our annual eye exam, and we appreciate all of the friendly and caring staff! We will be back again next year!
Worst experience I been a patient with them for a couple years I went on today for new contacts cause I only have 1 in at the time and I need more, but I didn't have the $$ at the time for a fitting fee so I asked can I get a sample pair for now until I can come back next week when I get paid to actually get more I was told NO because I have to pay the fitting fee, I never been so upset I left out crying. I really need some contacts bad. They was so rude about it also!!! I wish it was a negative star I could give them
