This office is the absolute best, I had an awesome experience here! I called the office on a Monday because my eyes were red and itchy and I tried to schedule an appointment for the following day, well, they were able to get me in within the hour that same day! The office staff was so friendly and Dr. Schecter was so kind, knowledgeable and genuine, he listened to me and what he prescribed me helped me almost immediately. I can tell he has a passion for his work and patients. This is the best experiences I've ever had at a medical office!

Dr. Schecter's expertise and professional manner, accommodating staff, and excellent product selection have enabled me to trust my family's eye care to him. In addition to helping me for over 15 years, he has recently started treating my daughter. His kind approach set her at ease, and he counseled us with developmentally-appropriate care choices. I wholeheartedly recommend Mill Run Vision Center.

This place is fantastic! I have been a patient of Dr. Schecter (as well as my entire family) for the past 15 years and would never go anywhere else. The girls at the front desk are friendly and knowledgable about insurance plans, and will patiently answer all of your questions regarding billing!! Everyone is genuine and supportive, and the doctor truly wants what is best for you and your eyes. They will let you try out new lenses for free before you decide to buy to make sure you are 100% comfortable. I highly recommend Mill Run Vision Center to anyone in need of an optometrist!

Dr. Schecter is an excellent optometrist: attentive, professional, and good with kids. The office staff is welcoming and efficient. Now if I could only get him to move his office closer to my house... :-)

Honest Review Time: I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago from the writing of this review. I was told it was at 9:40am. When I scheduled the appointment I confirmed with the receptionist that the appointment was at 9:40 and not 9:30. A 9:40 appointment seems odd to me. She confirms the appointment is for 9:40. Today, I drive 20 minutes out of my way to the office. I have a lot of difficulties finding the office. I call the receptionist. She directs me to the office but tells me also that the appointment was for 9:30 and that it may be now too late to take me as a new patient. When I enter the office she confirms that it is now too late to take me as a patient. Now, I get that there is a strict schedule that the Dr. probably wants to keep to. I get that him taking me at that point of time in the morning might disrupt his entire day, or put other patients at a disadvantage. I don't expect him to just blindly me take me as a patient when I'm that late in. The reason I did not keep the appointment is because I felt the CONS of doing business with this particular doctor was not worth the trouble of the PROS. CONS: - Poor scheduling, and patient communication - Scummy looking shopping plaza - LOTS of potholes in the parking lot. The property is VERY poorly maintained. - Very small office - Lack of integrity on the part of the business. - Clearly overbooked on patients. - The business did not go out of it's way to take me as a new patient, nor managed to prove (or even communicate) it's value to me. PROS: - The receptionist was courteous and kind. The reason I did not reschedule my appointment, is that I am not willing to wait two more weeks to get my eyes checked with a business that very clearly does not value me as a new patient. The poor communication, and poor location together seems to indicate to me a business that lacks focus, integrity, and health. In general, the entire "feeling" of the place was utter scumminess.

We've known Dr. Schecter and the Mill Run Vision Center for over ten years. We use them for all of our vision needs. The caring, professional staff always go above and beyond in making our experience a good one.

Fantastic!! Best eye exam and consult ever. He suggested a new brand of multi-focal contacts and I have never looked back. He is extremely helpful and professional!

Dr. Schecter is fun, thorough, and of good humor. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's a good experience in which I always leave smiling!
