Let me start by giving the HUGEST shout out to Miss Ashley!!! Talk about customer service the way it should be, she was absolutely PHENOMENAL! From start to finish, she took the time to explain and accommodate my asks. I brought my own frames today and she was able to apply their standard every day BOGO OFFER to my own frames and for two pairs of anti-glare glasses I paid $99.00 out the door! No one will beat that price! period! Coupled with Ashley's expertise and amazing customer service, well you have just gotten a customer for life! Thank you so much Ashley and Stanton Optical!!! I will definitely be back again and also send more customers your way!!!

Since my review was taken down I'll try this again, I recommend going somewhere else unless you want to wait an hour after your appointment for a zoom call to do you eye exam while the audio cuts in and out , than you sit down with the glasses you picked and get told a completely different price than what you first heard when you got there all to get close enough to the end just to be told, they wanna do another exam because the first one didn't get an accurate reading. Did I mention while all of this was happening the women who does insurance was on her phone most of the time figuring out her own personal problems. If I could put zero I would.

This whole place is a scam. Spend wayyyy more than I should have on two pairs. The sunglasses broke within a year and they replaced them. My regular glasses broke 2 weeks after the one year mark and im SOL now. None of the breaks were from drops or accidents either. Spending $600 on two pairs of glasses should have them last more than a year. Even the eye exam is over zoom. WHAT A JOKE

Edit: it's extremely upsetting and messed up they found this review. Went through my medical documents to find a matching name. Took the phone number off that account and called me over this review.

This place feels off....
I don't think I ever received my test results fro eye exam, and I never saw/ meet a doctor. Just the assistants and one "nurse".
I'm not a huge big fan of staff using their phones during my exam with my files open on the computer. I guess I can understand wanting to play/text on the phone while at work.
They also gave me anti-glare lenses that were not beneficial to me. They did have a deep scratch so I Had to get new lenses and I still feel like my vision is off. I asked them when picking up my new lenses how my vision was after testing and was told "you got that when you got your glasses, whatever it was it's 20/20 now".
Again, still feel like my vision is off. I had astigmatism my entire life. Notning was brought up in-regards to that.
I don't think I will be going back.

I am extremely disappointed in Staton Optical in Holland, OH. I called and scheduled an annual eye exam for my son and myself. During the call, I directly asked if they accepted my current insurance provider. The associate verbally stated yes.
Once we arrived at the appointment, I was then told that they do not bill insurance directly. Instead, I was told they would be happy to charge me their price for services; however, if I chose not to purchase contacts or glasses that day, I would be charged an additional 20% upcharge.
What a scam. This is brand dishonesty. It feels like they say anything to get people into the location and then capitalize on the fact that you've already taken the time to schedule and show up -- hoping you will just pay their prices.
I would not recommend supporting this business until honesty with customers becomes their first priority.

I went in Saturday for contacts eye exam. I told the tech what my current scrip was. (note not eye dr) I was told I was actually at to high of a prescription for the last few years. I got told I had to order contacts with the exam. After exam Im told they cant get them in for 10 to 14 days and priced several hundred for the same contact brand I've had just at a lower level. I went to Walmart and they could get them for 1/3rd the price and in 5 days.
Today they came in and I tried them on. I cant even see 4 feet away. I put in my last pair of my old prescription and I can see perfectly fine. Swap them back out for the new prescription and give it 15 minutes. Nope still cant see over 4 feet away its all blurry. I completely wasted over $400 for a prescription that was done by a tech not an actual dr and is the completely wrong prescription.

I have been there twice. Each time they have been so kind, helpful, patience, and fun! Went in recently with my Mom (I referred her) and she gets why I love this place so much! She was told it was going to cost her like 800 for 1 pair of glasses as she needs bifocals. But, it was less and she got 2 pairs!!!!! Granted, she got 20% off first purchase as I referred. But, she was so happy! And, I am so happy that they gave my Mom the best care. Just like they did for me! So, I just think it's what they do now. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!!
