Just found out the problem it is how they schedule. They book 2 appts for every 15mins of the hour. There is only 1 Doctor there each day. And he can only see 1 person at a time.
They need to fix this ... the office says they can't it is scheduling?????

Dr. Chawla did cataract surgery and relaxing incisions to help correct my astigmatism on both my eyes. The surgeries were performed one week apart and I could not be more pleased! The first time in my life that I can see without glasses or contact lenses. Everyone at the office was caring and made sure I knew what to expect during surgery and after. The facility is very clean. They use disposable sheets & pillow cases which is very important to me. To say I am pleased with Dr. Chawla and his staff is an understatement.

I recently scheduled and attended an appointment for LASIK , only to learn afterward that the service is no longer being offered. When I sought clarification during my discussion with the doctor, I found their response to be dismissive and unprofessional, which was disappointing. I would appreciate further explanation regarding the service change and assurance of a respectful approach in future interactions.

I had cataract removal scheduled for 8am and arrived and filled out paperwork before 8. I was told the appointment would take about 11/2 hours. Closer to 3 hours until I was able to leave the office. It seems several appointments were made at the same time and I was one of the unfortunate ones that had to sit in the waiting area becoming more and more frustrated and nervous because my appointment was 2 hours late! I read the follow up instructions and was told to use 2 drops as soon as I got home and then as recommended. I went to the pharmacy I'd written in my information and there was nothing. I called another pharmacy of the same name in an adjoining town and again, nothing. I called the doctor's office and was told I could pick them up the next day. I won't go there again and will certainly never recommend them. I'm really aggravated.

I arrived at 920 for a 945am appointment it was 1045 before I was taken back to be seen . Seems they were over booked or something! The waiting room was not clean to be that early in the day time. What I did notice about the staff although they were friendly with me and other they didn't wear gloves or clothes the equipment before or after usage. I didn't have a bad experience at the Portsmouth office compared to some they just need to have housekeeping person on hand and probably e vest in gloves for the staff as well as hand sanitizer.

I took a family member to the office in Portsmouth. The lobby was filthy and smelled really bad. The chairs in the waiting room were so dirty I didn't want to sit in them. The staff was very nice how ever they did not clean or wipe down equipment after each patient and touched my family members eyes and face without gloves. I seen only one person use hand sanitizer. I would not recommend this place.

Very bad experience, very unprofessional staff. I was sent here after an eye exam at Walmart. No one was wiping down equipment before or after use, and no one was wearing gloves, I didn't say anything about the gloves in the moment because I didn't expect them to touch me, randomly the Doctor touched my eye ungloved and I was poked in the eye by a hang nail. I am not even sure if this is a legitimate establishment at this point.

I have had excellent service by dr. Egolf and all the staff!! Had problems after cataract surgery and they went above and beyond normal duties to try and correct the issues! I'm still receiving treatments and on my way to recovery
