Dr. Jerry L.Mullen Optometrist

I wanted to post a more recent review so that others would have a more recent experience to go off of. Dr. Mullen was very kind and his staff was very kind when we there, however, the kindness does not make up for the other issues we have had since our visit. My spouse and I both went in for routine yearly eye exams and so my spouse could get a new pair of glasses. It took around 3 months I believe to receive the pair of glasses. They never contacted us, we had to continuously call their office and ask for updates on the glasses because I have never in my life waited more than a week on a pair or glasses from an eye doctor. Each time we called, we were told the glasses has been broken by the manufacturer and had to be made again and mailed. This happened three separate times and took three months to finally receive from their office and the glasses we did finally receive were not the same pair we had asked for. It was a similar style, but they were a slightly different frame and a different color than the ones we had ordered, but we didn't want to wait for another 3 months for the correct pair so we didn't even tell their office it was the wrong glasses. Now, 9 months after our visit there, I'm writing this review because on top of what I already mentioned, I'm just now recently getting billed from their office, 9 months later. The bill on my insurance account that they received shows the doctor's office billed them $145 and my amount owed is $10. (This is my bill by the way, for just the routine eye exam, I didn't get any other services or glasses or contacts). The bill they sent me in the mail shows that they're billing for $313 and I owe $170. I could be wrong, I'm currently trying to contact them for some answers, but it seems that they're trying to get more money from me because they just want more money. I haven't been able to get through to their billing office nor have they returned my voicemails, so we'll see how this discrepancy continues and gets handled. I'm definitely exasperated with them and we won't be back to their office for sure. I would save yourself the time and money and energy and go elsewhere.

Dr. Mullen is wonderful! I appreciate his patience and attention to details. I was a new patient and him and all the staff made me feel welcome! Thank you!!

Friendly and professional staff, quality all the way around. Dr Mullen is expert with substantial skills and experience. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The receptionist was very kind made me feel welcomed and the Dr. Was very informative and helpful and his Wife is very knowledgeable sweet and beautiful and she helped me with my questions about my insurance I will definitely be back
