Tell me why my appointment was the most fun I've had in days?? jk i'll tell you. these people got JOKES and spit FACTS. literally everyone i spoke to made me laugh and taught me something new. im not even exaggerating.
the receptionist who taught me that most people dont have vision cards.
the optometric technician who taught me that my anxiety meds might be drying out my eyes.
the optometrist doctor who taught me that our eyes get freckles from the sun.
the contact lens techs who taught me that insurance only covers contacts OR glasses (im 30 lol)
the optical dispenser who taught me how lens features work.
the optitian who taught me that the temple tips of my wire glasses are removable.
All these people greeted me warmly and offered such great service, it was like I was the first patient they'd seen in 8 hours. i feel like they must have a great work environment or employee culture, for everyone to have been so awesome on a monday. thank you OKC vision for the amazing customer service, for breaking down the pricing clearly for me to help me make a good financial decision, for being constant educators, and for making me feel welcome. 10/10 experience!! (im smiling BIG on the inside i swear)
I have been seeing Dr. Forrester for almost 30 years now. Besides my once a year eye visits to get my contacts, we had an emergency visit for my daughter a few years ago and the way they handled a scary situation I absolutely will recommend them with 5 stars (or more if there were more stars)!
My primary doctor sent me to Dean a McGee to have a look at my retinas, however I chose to go to Dr. Pitt, he is very attentive to all my needs as much a Dean McGee, and far less wait. In and out in no time so I could get to work. His staff knows their stuff, lol and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Pitt, he is where I will go for all my eye needs. Thank you Dr. Pitt.
This morning I was diagnosed with shingles on my face/side of my nose, and my doctor wanted me to see an optometrist right away to make sure it hadn't spread to my eyes. After leaving the office, I started calling around trying to find someone who could see me the same day. After a bit of a hunt, I found Oklahoma City Vision. The receptionist was super nice and told me to just come on in since I was already nearby instead of waiting an hour and a half for my appointment time.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away. Both receptionists were so friendly, and I was called back about 10 minutes after checking in. The tech who helped me was amazing--so kind, knowledgeable, and familiar with autoimmune conditions. She took her time going through my medical history and made me feel really comfortable.
After she finished, I only waited a few minutes before Dr. Pitts came in. He was so patient, kind, and detail-oriented. I've been getting annual eye exams for over 30+ years, and I've never had a doctor be so thorough or explain things in such detail. Usually, I get my exam, grab my prescription, and leave--but this visit was completely different.
Right away, Dr. Pitts noticed I had severe dry eyes and actually took the time to talk through past treatments and new options besides just eye drops (which never seem to be covered by insurance anyway!). I had no idea there were other treatments available, so that was a really pleasant surprise.
Thankfully, the shingles hadn't spread to my eyes, so I decided to go ahead and do my regular exam. Dr. Pitts showed me the images of my eyes and explained everything so clearly. I told him I hate driving at night because I can't see well, and he figured out it was because of my previous prescription! He explained exactly what needed to be fixed.
I couldn't remember what vision insurance I had, and I planned on paying out of pocket. I told the tech this as well. She started naming vision insurance one name sounded familiar VSP. While helping me with contact lenses, she took it upon herself to check my insurance and found that I actually had VSP coverage. That ended up saving me about $250! She definitely didn't have to do that, but it meant so much.
Overall, I was so impressed and grateful that they fit me in last-minute and still gave me such a thorough, unhurried exam. Dr. Pitts and his team were wonderful from start to finish. I left there understanding more about my eyes than I ever have before.
I also left with a week's worth of trial contacts, and my vision already feels so much better! I'm actually excited to go back next week for my recheck, dry eye treatment, and to pick out some new glasses.
I was just prescribed neurolenses and I was skeptical about them at first. The best part about these wasn't what I was told that they would help with but they absolutely help with my dyslexia. Reading is no longer a chore along with no more dry eyes, straining eyes, and head aches. Thank you so very much.
I love my new glasses. Dr Philipp's is the most wonderful eye Dr. I always feel very comfortable. Also Lily is just amazing, she takes the time to look at ALL the glasses with me every single time but I never feel pushed to buy the most expensive ones. Love it and I'm thankful for such a great team!
The front desk girl's behavior is excellent
and also nurse and other two girls helped me a lot for my glasses.
I hope they continue excellent work in the future too.
and I'm waiting for my glasses maight I will get it Thursday.
